Central Bucks South Comments
Our early season is a work in progress. The team played hard at times and chased the game at times. We will continue to grow as a group and hopefully learn from a tough loss. We had three freshman get some valuable game time experience. Tenley Rogers, Charlotte Manley and Khloe Montini.
Council Rock South Comments
We opened our season under the lights at CB South against a very solid team. We knew they had two good results already on the season and are in form while we were waiting for our first game. We stressed handling early pressure and settling in sticking to our game plan. They have a lot of talent going forward and we stressed staying calm against the press and being efficient offensively. Krissy Philip did a great job of this picking off a pass and starting a sequence switching play and back across the defense to Riley O’Halloran woth 26 to go in the half to give us a 1-0 leading heading into half. We made it 2-0 at the 28:15 mark of the second half when Teagan Shay got on the end of a Juliette Salvi set piece. Juliette was fantastic on them all night and we finally capitalized. CBS brought it back to 2-1 two minutes later. Macy Laidlaw gave us the insurance goal when she picked off a pass we were able to discuss at halftime and took it in alone to make it 3-1 with 15 left. We saw our a frantic ending with Ella Mayberry coming up big in spots for us in goal. Overall a very solid test early on that our girls responded to. Definitely the type of game the SOL always brings, especially in a cross over.
