Lower Moreland kicked off their Suburban One League schedule with a night game win against Cheltenham. Roya Rosala opened the scoring in the first quarter with her sister, Mia setting her up for the goal. The Lady Lions found the net four more times in the third with goals by Mia Torgan, Jasmine Abraham, and Ashley Avington (2 goals). Cara Torgan and Roya Rosala each had 2 assists. We were able to move the ball a lot tonight and find those open spaces. All of our defenders held the ball in the midfield and only allowed a few shots on goal. Alexis MacPhee and Anikka Swanson led the defense and were tough to get past. Cheltenham scored their lone goal in the last second of the game.
