Strong team performance today vs. Cheltenham. We controlled possession but Cheltenham played tough the entire game. Their goalkeeper was outstanding.

Maddie McGuckien continued her strong start to the season with two goals and she controlled play throughout the game. Junior Mia Baron was dangerous all game so I was happy to see her get a goal and an assist. She’s been working really hard and really wants her work rate to start showing up on the stat sheet.

Sophomore Liv Patete got her second goal in two games on a really unselfish play from senior captain / midfielder, Liv Reilly. The play was started by freshman Harper Reilly who played her older sister through. We almost had a sister to sister goal but Liv Reilly demonstrated why she is captain (along with senior defender Katie Lukens) by making the unselfish pass.

Junior keeper Olivia Bragg got her second straight clean sheet in net.

Positive start to the season but league play awaits next week. We’re looking forward to the challenge.
