Lower Moreland fought hard but came up short in today's game against Springfield (Montgomery County). The first half was a great battle between the two with Lower Moreland applying great pressure and moving the ball up the field. Springfield's Isabella Navo scored with 36 seconds left in the 3rd to push the Spartans ahead. That goal in the very last seconds of the quarter took some of our momentum away for sure. We came out strong to start the 4th but with 8 1/2 minutes left, the Spartans scored again. Overall, we played a good game moving the ball and stopping Springfield's attack. We just came up short and had trouble putting the ball in the net. Our ball movement and overall team play are encouraging this early in the season, especially since Springfield is historically a tough opponent for us.
