Coach Comments: I thought this one had all the makings of a game you'd see at the more pointed end of the season and am very proud of our group earning this result. We knew going in that Pennridge is and always has been incredibly difficult to match, and I'm sure will be even more so next time we see them. That's such a testament to their girls and coach. I thought their group had the better run of the play for the majority of the first half. I think we did enough in key moments, made a couple key blocks, disruptions of their attack, and saves to keep the clean sheet going into halftime. We definitely were a bit caught off by the pace of the game and found ourselves relying on the transition game. A little before the 20 minute mark, we were able to break forward, connect a couple of passes down the right flank and Jessie just made the absolute best out of a really difficult shot. It eased the pressure for us for a bit.

The second half came out with a flying start. Mia hit a great free kick to extend the lead and from there we settled into possession a bit more. Credit to Pennridge for continuing to push and earned a PK with 20 minutes remaining.

We know this season is early, and we have plenty of room to grow, so we are just taking it a game at a time. It's good for this group to get tested like this and proud of the girls for coming out with a win on the road. How we attack often gets the spotlight, and deservedly so, but this result doesn't happen without a massive game from our Back four - Syd Ralph, Savannah Hayes, Taylor and Ella Roumy and our Keepers - Mae Leedy and Aralynn Patterson.
