Pleased with our team performance today. We matched Bensalem's intensity and had some very good spells of possession and combination play.
Our first goal came midway through the first half when Sara Tyler followed up on a tackle and calmly hit the ball from 20 yards into the bottom corner. Our second goal was early in the second half when Sara found Mia Cairone who was able to beat a defender and go round the keeper to finish.
Sara Tyler did a great job today in possession, she gave us a spark at times to create chances, Sydney Linus and Addison Martin also did a good job in possession and managing the space defensively. Our rotations have proven to be effective, our back line were solid, Bella Lanza, Tavi Copestick, Audrey Thomson, Alexa Pikul, Kinsley Smith, Amanda Gardner & Amber Yuan all contributed to our clean sheet and limited the chances on goal.
We have played 6 games now, 1/3 of our season, it's pleasing to see that the depth we have continues to be a positive factor for us. We hope to continue that as we get into the middle of our schedule.
