A day after defeating North Penn CB South was at it again hosting Holy Ghost for a Saturday morning matchup. 8 minutes Into the game Nate Monser made a great run into the box and was taken down from behind. AJ Okoniewski finished to give CB South a 1-0 lead which stood through the first half.
In the second half CB South came alive with 3 goals. A corner from AJ Okoniewski found the head of Josh Dozier and the ball found the back of the next. Then Tyler Jaskelwicz created a few inches of space with his step over move that allowed him to slip a pass to his brother Evan who cooly finished in the bottom right corner. The final goal came from a Jackson Tait through ball to Nate Monser who finished 1v1 against the keeper in the bottom left corner.
By the Numbers:
First Half
AJ Okoniewski (CBS)
Second Half
Josh Dozier (CBS) from AJ Okoniewski
Evan Jaskelewicz (CBS) from Tyler Jaskelewicz
Nate Monser (CBS) from Jackson Tait
COACH ED BRNARDIC:
We looked discombobulated in the first half after a long week for the gents, but they pulled together at half-time to put together a beautiful second half. Coach Anthony Ditri was on fire - every substation he suggested worked out perfectly and it put us in such a good rythym. Everything started clicking for us and it was great to end the day with a Nate Monser goal. Nate comes with the right attitude every single day - he’s ready to work hard and he always has a smile on his face. An absolute joy to coach. And after Nate scored he had a chance to get another one, but instead he unselfishly dropped it back to teammate.
Nate was one of our players of the game along with Rowan McDonald who had an amazing second half being the catalyst of our attacks and Tyler Jaskelewicz who was spraying balls all over the field.
NEXT UP: CB South (5-0, 2-0 SOL) travels to CB West on Tuesday.
CB South 1 3 - 4
Holy Ghost 0 0 - 0
