SOL National Conference

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-11)
The Indians picked up their third win in conference play, earning a sweep of the visiting Tigers.
Freshman setter Kinley Adams made her CRN varsity debut tonight.  Kinley had 27 assists and three kills.  Junior Olivia Szymkiewicz added 11 kills on 22 swings, and junior Sloane Jordan had eight kills on 12 swings. Senior Addison Zarillo added three kills.
“We passed serve very well today and did not have a single serve receive error,” Rock North coach Joe Schweitzer said. “This allowed Kinley to dish sets to our two junior outsides.:
For the second time this year, junior Ava Liedl had a 10-point serve run with three aces.
Council Rock North (3-2, 3-1 SOL) will be on the road at Neshaminy Thursday.


WILLIAM TENNENT 3, BENSALEM 1 (25-19, 25-14, 23-25, 25-14)
The Panthers won the first two sets over the visiting Owls, and after the Owls eked out a win in the third set, Tennent closed it out with a big win in the fourth set.
For the Panthers, three players finished in double figures in kills. Emmerson McElhinney led the way with 13 kills and three aces, Kristina Bentsionova had 12 kills, and Ava Starcuzzi added 10 kills and four aces. Margaux Kellum led the Panthers defense with 22 digs and four aces. Setter Izzy Goebel had 35 assists and 14 digs.
“Some big games up front, and the girls made a lot of plays defensively as a team to keep the ball in play,” Tennent coach Brian Bassler said.
For the Owls, senior setter Talia DiMichele had a standout game, leading the way with 17 assists, 17 digs, four aces three blocks and two kills.
“It’s probably the best game she’s played in her life,” Bensalem coach Violet DiMichele said. “She was all over the court.”
Maci McKernan led the attack with eight kills, and Dene Howe followed with 12 digs.
William Tennent (4-3, 2-2 SOL) will face Wissahickon in a non-league match Wednesday, and Bensalem (0-5, 0-3) will host Harry S Truman Thursday.

SOL Continental Conference

QUAKERTOWN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1 (25-21, 25-16, 20-25, 25-17)
The Panthers notched their first league win of the season, defeating the visiting Patriots in four sets.
Leading a balanced attack at the net for the Panthers were Ellie White (10 kills, 5 blocks, 1 ace, 3 digs), Bella Mooney (9 kills, 3 blocks, 2 digs), Rachel White (9 kills, 1 ace, 6 digs) and Krysalyn Juchno (8 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks). Setter Genevieve had 28 assists and also had five blocks and 11 digs.
Zoey Hartley led the defense with 16 digs as well as five assists and one kill, and Kaeli Scheliga added 10 digs and one ace. Also contributing for the Panthers were Gianna Santangelo (2 kills, 2 blocks, 4 digs), Ally Cole (2 aces, 5 digs), Colleen Gallagher (2 aces, 3 digs), Meghan Steiert (1 ace, 5 digs) and Kavai Sieger (1 assist, 2 digs).
Quakertown (3-3, 1-2 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks West Wednesday, and Central Bucks East (2-4, 1-2) will host Pennridge on Thursday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, SOUDERTON 1
The Titans notched the four-set win over the visiting Indians.
For the Indians, Lauren Vince led the way with 15 kills, 10 digs and two aces. Zoe Folk sparked the defense with 31 digs as well as five aces and one assist. Setter Stella Powers handed out 28 assists and also had four aces, seven digs and one block. Lily Self contributed nine kills, 10 aces and five digs, and Kylie O’Keefe had five kills, four digs and one ace.
Central Bucks South (3-4, 2-1 SOL) will travel to North Penn on Thursday, and Souderton (3-3, 1-3) will be on the road at Cheltenham.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 2 (15-25, 25-27, 25-16, 25-23, 15-13)
Central Bucks West took home a victory in five grueling sets, rallying to win three straight after dropping the first two sets. It was a tough fight for the Bucks, but they faced adversity with grace and perseverance. Every single player on the court fought and contributed to the Bucks’ victory. 
Setter Elisa Kremser had a big night, finishing with 20 assists, 16 digs, three kills and one ace. Kya Lynch led the Bucks with 14 kills, 20 digs and five blocks in a stellar performance.  She also had one ace. Erin McCusker added six digs, five blocks, two aces and one assist, and Emily Ferrese had 16 digs. Ashlynn Kear added 12 digs and two aces, Jane Foster had 11 digs, four aces, three kills and two blocks while Ava Steibig had one ace, two kills, two blocks and two digs.

SOL American Conference

UPPER DUBLIN 3, ABINGTON 0
The Cardinals knocked the Ghosts from the ranks of undefeated iin conference play and now hold sole possession of the top spot in the standings.
For the Cards, Brooke Kinsley had a big night, finishing with 14 kills, three aces and six digs while Isabelle Driehuis added eight kills and one block. Setter Kaitlyn Small handed out 32 assists and also had five aces, seven digs and one block. Alisa Zeng led the defense with 12 digs and one assist.
Also stepping up and contributing were Janis Andrulonis (5 kills, 1 ace, 3 digs, 1 block), Lyvia Marcus (2 aces, 1 assist, 5 digs), Madison Small (5 kills, 1 ace, 6 digs, 1 block) and Reese Fidler (4 kills, 3 digs).
For the Ghosts. senior Sasha Moody reached a milestone, putting her name in the program record books with the 500th kill of her career.
“Sasha has worked extremely hard since the day I met her,” Abington coach Dan Marsh said. “She has gone from an average undersized outside hitter to an absolute problem for our opponents.  She increased her vertical, improved her court awareness and is now one of the best players in the SOL.”
Upper Dublin (5-1, 4-0 SOL) will travel to Cheltenham Thursday, and Abington (4-2, 3-1) will host Wissahickon Thursday.

WISSAHICKON 3, SPRINGFIELD TWP 0
The Lady Trojans faced the newly formed Springfield Lady Spartans in a spirited match.  The 2024 Lady Trojans are being led by senior captain Aly Wines and fellow seniors Jadyn Kamara, Anna Weir, Samanatha (Sam) Boyd and Rachel French. 
The Trojans prevailed with a 3-0 victory but admired the never-say-die attitude of the Spartans. 
Wissahickon (2-3, 1-2 SOL) will host Williams Tennent Wednesday in a non-league match, and Springfield Twp (0-4, 0-3) will be on the road at New Hope-Solebury Thursday.

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 0

PENNRIDGE 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2

The Lady Rams fought their way to victory through a grueling five-set match over the defending National Conference champions on Tuesday. It was their seventh win in seven matches.
Melissa Hinkson led the Rams with 12 kills, 13 digs, two blocks, and two aces. Following closely was Caitlyn Kuntz with 11 kills and 13 digs. Middle blocker Chloe Wint was a force at the net, leading the team with five blocks and adding six kills. Ayla Mirarchi also made a strong impact, contributing three blocks and nine kills. The Rams offense was driven by setters Delaney Schwind and Aubrey Schulz, with Schwind handing out 23 assists, nine digs, and two aces, and Schulz adding 12 assists and 11 digs. Shannon Leo anchored the defense with a standout performance, recording 20 digs.
The Rams (7-0, 3-0 SOL) will be on the road Wednesday facing in-conference foe CB East. Council Rock South (5-2, 2-0) is off until next Tuesday with the Golden Hawks will travel to Bensalem.

Monday, Sept. 9
PENNSBURY 3, CONWELL EGAN 0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-11)

The Falcons bounced back after suffering back-to-back losses to earn a sweep in Monday’s non-league contest.
“Our last two matches were not who we are, and we needed to get back to what Pennsbury volleyball is,” Pennsbury coach Bob Burns said. “We welcomed and loved the challenges we faced last week, but we got away from our identity. We are back on track now and need to take that next step towards being consistent in all the facets of the game.”
Leading the way for the Falcons was Madara Bungs with 13 kills, five digs, and one ace. Adding to the team effort was Brigitte Burns with nine kills (0.571 hitting percentage), nine digs, and two aces and Rylie Mitchell with five kills. Also having a 0.571 hitting percentage was Annika Foundos with four kills. Going on a long service run was Nyla Hamburg with seven aces. Hamburg also added 16 assists. Olivia Jedynak had 14 assists and two aces. Sienna Sked added four aces of her own on a long service run.
Pennsbury (6-2, 2-1 SOL) will travel to William Tennent next Tuesday.
