We played hard tonight, even though we lost, the girls should be proud of how they played. We were prepared; we practiced hard and knew what we needed to do against a strong West team. Defensively we did a nice job stepping to the ball and keeping the ball out of the center of the field. The goals we gave up were on corners and a stroke. Offensively, our forwards did a nice job cutting back to the ball and our mids worked hard up and down the field. This was a tough loss, but nothing to hang our heads about— we will continue to work hard and play together as a team as the season goes on.

Coach comments:
A great win against a speedy, physical Neshaminy team. West did a nice job of staying poised, even after an early goal against, to systematically set up scoring opportunities and control the pace of the game. We started a little flat, getting beat to the ball by an aggressive Neshaminy team. After they scored there was a positive shift in our team's effort, and it paid off. I was super proud of our entire defensive team and our quick restarts on offense lead by Calista Boos.
