Council Rock South Comments
Pleased with a home win today over UM. We stressed our quality of crosses at practice yesterday and we were dangerous in them all day. Hats off to their goalie- she was tremendous with an easy double digit save performance. We took a 1-0 halftime lead on a Kate Deal kick from the spot. We stressed putting the game away at half and ten minutes in Gianna Kirlin had a tidy finish past the incoming keeper. We were very pleased with our depth today and got some excellent minutes from everyone in the roster. We head into a tough stretch coming up so pleased to be able to go deep in the rotation today. The crossover games have been a grind for us. We knew that this week was going to be tough, and I am really proud of how our girls continue to show up for each other. We played defensively today and really never got into an offensive flow. Stefanie Jones played great for us in the middle of the field, holding the center and generating ball movement. Gracie Costello had another great game, tallying 15 saves.
