Junior forward, Maeve Link, scored the first goal of the game, off an assist by senior defensive back, Sophia Afflisio, during corner play, in the first quarter at the 6:29 mark. The game remained at 1-0 until less than 1 second remained in the 2nd quarter when junior forward, Brooke Dougherty, scored off a beautiful pass from sophomore forward, Addison Harrington, to put Abington up 2-0 at the half. Link then added a security goal in the third quarter on a stroke, that put Abington up 3-0. That score stood until the end of the game.

Maeve Link played a big hand in the win today. She helped spark the offense with a great goal in the first quarter. She was key in intercepting the ball on the field and getting it up into Hatboro's circle for offensive opportunities.

Junior forward, Brooke Dougherty, also played a key role for Abington, today. Brooke has been working hard and has been finding the back of the net for us in games. Her speed and hustle on the field also helps create a lot of offensive opportunities for us in the circle.

Sophomore center-mid, Carly Hughes, also made some key plays in the mid-field. She was huge in not letting Hatboro get many hits down the field. She helped keep the ball on Hatboro's end of the field throughout the game, which helped set the tone and pace of the game.

Sophomore goalie, Keely Gallagher, did a great job of setting up the shut-out in the first 3 quarters of play, while senior goalie, Caitlin Murcar, maintained it in the 4th quarter .

We were really happy with how the team came out and played today. We have been working hard in practice and feel they really executed some things we have been working on in today's game. We were happy our offense was able to get things going early this game, after a slow start against CB South on Monday. Everyone played a part in getting the win today and we hope to carry this momentum into our upcoming games.
