Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services of Wrightstown is proud to recognize the SOL’s Players of the Week. Players are chosen based on the nomination of SOL coaches and football contributors. This year’s Sterling Limo Players of the week are in memory of John Donohoe.

Springfield Township Player of the Week

Bobby Hartman – The senior standout contributed in all phases of the game in Springfield’s 42-21 win over Bishop Shanahan in a District 1 4A semifinal contest. The team’s kicker, Hartman had a successful on-sides kick to open the game that he recovered. As a punter, he had a successful run on fourth-and-12 for a first down on a fake punt. Defensively, he had six tackles and a pair of interceptions, and offensively, he had three catches – all on third down conversions.

Central Bucks South Player of the Week

Matt Harmon – The senior defensive back set the tone for Central Bucks South’s dominating performance in the Titans’ 49-7 win over Spring-Ford in Friday’s District 1 6A opener, intercepting a pass on Spring-Ford’s opening possession and returning it 85 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead less than three minutes into the game. He also was credited with four tackles and forced a fumble. On the other side of the football, he had three receptions and one touchdown.

North Penn Player of the Week

Matt Pownall – The junior running back was a workhorse out of the backfield in North Penn’s 24-14 win over Ridley in Saturday’s opening round District 1 6A contest. Pownall led the Knights with 28 carries for 206 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an interception.

Central Bucks West Players of the Week

Central Bucks West Defense – It would be next to impossible to top the remarkable defensive effort of Central Bucks West in its 17-0 win over Pennsbury in an opening round contest. The Bucks allowed just 19 rushing yards and 78 total yards in the shutout win. The Falcons managed just two first downs in the game – one in each half.

Plymouth Whitemarsh Players of the Week

Marcus Laffredo – The senior defensive back had himself a career night in Plymouth Whitemarsh’s 33-14 win over Souderton in Saturday’s District 1 6A opener, leading a standout defensive effort for the Colonials with three interceptions – all in the first half.

Upper Dublin Player of the Week

Jordan Fields – The senior running back ignited his team’s offense in Upper Dublin’s 31-21 win over Unionville in a District 1 5A opening round game, finishing with 175 yards and three touchdowns.
“Loved the way Jordan stepped up in a big game and produced,” UD coach Bret Stover said. “That’s what we expect from a senior, and he certainly delivered in a big way for our running game.”

Braylen Cape, Central Bucks South – The sophomore running back led the ground game in Central Bucks South’s 49-7 win over Spring-Ford in Friday’s opening round District 1 6A contest, averaging 11.1 yards a carry and finishing with 14 carries for 156 yards and a touchdown.

Christian DiCiurcio, Plymouth Whitemarsh – The senior running back led his team’s ground game in Plymouth Whitemarsh’s 33-14 win over Souderton. DiCiurcio finished with 13 carries for 125 yards and one touchdown. His 53-yard touchdown run after the Indians trimmed a once 19-0 lead to 19-14 swung momentum back in PW’s favor the rest of the way.

Kevin Hegerty, Plymouth Whitemarsh – The senior linebacker had another stellar outing, finishing with nine tackles and also an interception that he returned 64 yards for a touchdown in Plymouth Whitemarsh’s 33-14 win over Souderton.

CJ Johnson, Springfield Twp – The senior running back once again led the offense in Springfield Twps’ 42-21 over Bishop Shanahan in Friday’s District 1 4A semifinal. Johnson finished with 215 rushing yards and four touchdowns as well as five receptions for 73 yards.

Jack McGuckin, Springfield Twp – The senior quarterback threw for 133 yards and ran for 88 yards and two touchdowns in Springfield Twp’s 42-21 win over Bishop Shanahan. McGuickin completed 11 of 15 pass attempts.

Nick Milleto, Central Bucks West – The sophomore linebacker’s 5.5 tackles, including a tackle for a loss, led the way in Central Bucks West’s 17-0 win over Pennsbury.

Nobi Morffiah, Plymouth Whitemarsh – The senior defensive end had one of his team’s five interceptions in Plymouth Whitemarsh’s 33-14 win over Souderton.
