NESHAMINY 5, PENNSBURY 3
In a classic Thanksgiving Eve rivalry battle at Grundy, Neshaminy rallied from a 3-1 deficit with four unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation to notch the dramatic come-from-behind win.
The Redskins’ rally began with a goal from Angelo Veneziale with 10:10 remaining in the game, using a Liam Mooney assist. Three minutes later, Veneziale scored the equalizer with a Carter Lennon assist. Ryan DeMatteo scored the go-ahead goal that stood as the game-winner with 3:04 remaining. Sean Mooney assisted. DeMatteo’s empty net goal gave Neshaminy its final margin of victory.
Early on, Pennsbury’s Logan Weed scored five minutes into the second period, using assists from Shane Hicks and Kevin DeRosa to break a scoreless tie. Three minutes later, Connor Gray found the net with a short-handed goal that gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead, using a Christopher Sarver assist. Nathan Parker’s unassisted power play goal trimmed the Falcons’ lead to 2-1.
Saver scored an unassisted goal four minutes into the third period, giving the Falcons a 3-1 lead that turned out to be anything but secure.
Neshaminy held a 32-25 advantage in shots but had just an 18-17 edge heading into the final period when they took control of the game.
Colin Thurnau turned away 22 shots in a winning effort in goal for the Falcons.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 6, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2
Joseph Walter scored midway through the third period with a Tyson Cowan assist, breaking a 2-2 tie with a goal that stood as the game-winner in Wednesday’s rivalry game at Hatfield Ice. Walter’s goal sparked a 4-0 East tear to close out the tightly contested game.
Earlier, Samuel Gottesman scored with an Evan Asimakopoulos assist two minutes into the game to give East a 1-0 lead. Four minutes later, Anthony Dowd turned a Zane Sanders pass into the equalizer, connecting on a power play goal.
In the second period, the two teams again exchanged goals. East’s Ethan Cenci scored the go-ahead goal with an Alex Wilson assist just over seven minutes into the period. With two minutes remaining in the period, West’s Jack Misoda scored with a Sanders assist to even the score 2-2.
Walter’s third-period goal opened the floodgates for the Patriots, who also received goals from Gavin Widmer, David Brown and Aiden Collins for the 6-2 final in a game that was a whole lot closer than the final score suggests.
East held a 31-21 advantage in shots. Goalie Cole Breen earned the win, turning away 19 of 21 shots.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 11, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 1
Jeremy Rayher scored two goals and assisted on three others to lead the Golden Hawks to the mercy rule win in Wednesday’s rivalry game at Warwick. Teammate Jake Weiner added two goals and two assists for a four-point game. They were two of 15 players who contributed to the scoring for the Hawks in a balanced attack.
Seth Teitelman opened the scoring with an early goal, and seven minutes into the opening period, Peter Pereborow scored a goal that turned out to be the game-winner. Rayher’s first goal midway through the period gave the Hawks a 3-0 lead after one period.
Goals by Jonah Weston and Rayher early in the second period made it a 5-0 game before Rock North’s Jackson Accardi scored to break up the Hawks’ shutout bid. It was a 10-1 game after two periods. A power play goal by Luke Ralston two minutes into the third period closed out the scoring.
Rock South held a 39-8 advantage in shots.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 5, SPRINGFIELD 3
Hatboro-Horsham edged Springfield in a tightly contested rivalry game at Warwick on Thanksgiving Eve, upping its record to 3-1 in SHSHL play.
Gavin McManus gave Springfield an early 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal in the opening period. William Moffa used assists from Vincent Graziani and Aiden North to score the equalizer.
Ten minutes into the second period, Hatboro-Horsham’s Victor Wilkins broke a 1-1 tie with a goal assisted by Joseph Magnin Jr and North. Gabriel Well evened the score, using a McManus assist. Victor Wilkins found the net with an unassisted goal to send the Hatters into the final period with a 3-2 lead.
That score stood until six minutes remained in regulation when Graziani (Reid Rochestie assist) scored a goal that gave the Hatters a 4-2 advantage and turned out to be the game-winner. Nathan Nemchinov scored an unassisted insurance goal with 3:46 remaining. A goal by Springfield’s Kellen Warman (Owen Quinn assist) with 1:29 remianing made it a 5-3 game, a score that held until the final whistle.
Hatboro-Horsham held a 34-21 advantage in shots. Eric Miller was credited with 18 saves in a winning effort in goal for the Hatters.
