PW advances to play Lower Merion in the Championship game tomorrow night at 6pm. This was a game of runs. AIS jumped up early by knocking down some open 3's. In the second quarter, Eliza Meersman (8pts), Kenna Winlad (6pts), and AJ Avery (4 pts) led furious comeback to give us the momentum heading into halftime. AIS made some adjustments and halftime and made a run at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth cutting the game to one possession multiple times. Kenna Winland knocked down a couple of clutch threes and free throws along with Meersman and freshman Grace Harvey to seal the win. Have to highlight the rebounding effort of sophomore Liv Patete who pulled down 11 rebounds to go with her 3 points. As a whole, despite a significant size discrepancy, PW outrebounded AIS 33-23 for the game.
