The Upper Dublin Boys' and Girls' Swimming and Diving teams opened their 2025 schedule with a strong meet versus longtime rival Souderton on Friday, their final non-division opponent. Both teams came out on the winning end (see results below), as the girls kept their undefeated streak rolling with a dominant 105-76 score, while the boys matched that with an even bigger 118-67 victory over a very solid Souderton squad. The girls showed off their depth and versatility by having eight different swimmers place first in the eight individual swimming events, while also winning 2 of the 3 relays.
The gold medal role call was Maddie Shapiro (200 Free), Arina Vorobyeva (IM), Madison In (50 Free), Olivia Auwarter (Fly), Keira Cottingham (100 Free), Maeve Kivlehan (500 Free), Vikki Williams (Back) and Sophia Sileo-Magliari (Breast). The boys had equal success garnering first places.
By winning all three relays and eight of the nine individual events, the boys clearly dominated the meet. Individual standouts for the boys were double winners Brady Manser (100 and 200 Free), Will Matthews (50 Free and Breast) and Franco Ciccarone (Fly and Back) along with single winners Toby Herzog (IM) and Eli Lowenthal-Cales (Diving). The girls team also celebrated personal best performances from Anna Kolpakova, Jamie Stelling, Alyssa Auwarter and Emily Waldron, while Rory Duffy and Max Blough did the same for the boys.
The boys and girls swim at Hatboro-Horsham in their first Liberty Division meet on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
