HATBORO-HORSHAM 9, WISSAHICKON 6
Nathan Nemchinov scored three goals and assisted on another. His four-point game led a balanced attack in the Hatters’ important win over the Trojans. Both teams have identical 7-6 records in league play, but the Hatters hold a 29-27 edge in points.
William Moffa (Aiden North assist) put the Hatters on the scoreboard four minutes into the game, but Aiden Brooks evened the score midway through the period, using a Link Matozzo assist. Nemchinov scored back-to-back goals – the second with a Reid Rochestie assist – to send the Hatters into the second period with a 3-1 lead.
The second period belonged to the Hatters, who outscored the Trojans 4-1 to go on top 7-2. Victor Wilkins and Vincent Graziani each scored a pair for the Hatters while Logan Honeycutt scored the Trojans’ lone goal.
Wissahickon’s Joseph Gambino IV scored early in the third period only to see the Hatters answer with back-to-back goals by Nemchinov and Moffa. Wissahickon closed out the game with three unanswered goals in a two-minute span midway through the final period – two from Gambino and one from Brooks, but they would get no closer than the final score of 9-6.
Eric Miller turned away 32 shots to earn the win in goal for the Hatters, who held a 39-38 advantage in shots in the evenly played contest.

NESHAMINY 5, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2
Ryan DeMatteo scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Neshaminy to the Senior Night win at Grundy on Thursday.
DeMatteo and Liam Mooney each scored an unassisted goal in the opening period to spot Neshaminy a 2-0 lead.
DeMatteo’s second goal – this one on the power play – just over a minute into the second period upped Neshaminy’s lead to 3-0. Angelo Veneziale and Mooney were credited with assists on a goal that turned out to be the game-winner.
West made things interesting, answering with back-to-back goals – the first by Brandon March with a Zane Sanders assist and the second by Anthony Dowd (Sanders/March assists).
Neshaminy took that 3-2 lead into the third period, adding a pair of insurance goals from Mooney and DeMatteo (short-handed).
Colin Thurnau earned the win in goal, recording 13 saves.

Twelve players contributed to the scoring for the Titans in Thursday’s win over the Falcons at Hatfield Ice. Jeffrey Kvecher’s four-point game (1g, 3a) led the balanced attack while Joseph Slobodrian added two goals and an assist for a three-point game.
Slobodrian opened the scoring for the Titans, using assists from Sean Cutter and Ryan Frey. Frey followed with a short-handed goal that was assisted by Slobodrian and Alexander Cannon. Ryan Montagna closed out the scoring in the period, connecting on a short-handed goal with assists from Kvecher and Keith Waldon.
Pennsbury’s Shane Gleisner scored an empty net goal five minutes into the second period to make it a 3-1 game, using a Christopher Sarver assist. South answered with back-to-back goals by Slobodrian (Cutter assist) and Dominic Gibson (Logan Hood assist) to go on top 5-1 before Jacob Sarver scored with a Logan Weed assist to make it a 5-2 game after two periods.
In the third period, the Titans used single goals from Waldron, Jake Stepp, Kvecher and Hood for the 9-2 final. The Titans held a 52-20 advantage in shots.

SOUDERTON 12, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 1
Maxwell Ryon and Nicholas Smith have been a dangerous one-two punch for Souderton all season, and they were back at it again in Souderton’s mercy rule win over Rock North, combining for 15 points. Ryon led the way with four goals and four assists while Smith added two goals and five assists.
Also contributing multi-point games were Patrick Callahan (2g, 2a), Cameron Fairweather (1g, 2a), Matthew Cross (3a) and Jackson Kelly (1g, 1a).
Souderton took an early 3-0 lead on goals by Patrick Callahan, Smith and Julia Kaminsky. Rock North’s Maxwell Segal broke Souderton’s run with a goal eight minutes into the game.
Souderton closed out the period with four unanswered goals – two from Ryon and one each from Kelly and Callahan – to go into the second period with a 7-1 lead.
The second period featured a pair of goals from Ryon and one each from Pierceson Egan, Fairweather and Smith, bringing an early end to the contest.
Souderton held a lopsided 42-4 advantage in shots. Connor Paulus was credited with three saves in the win.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2, NESHAMINY 2 (OT)
Three periods and an overtime period could not determine a winner in last Wednesday’s tightly contested battle.
Twice Neshaminy took a one-goal lead, twice CB East answered.
With 7:25 remaining in the opening period, Tyler Hathaway broke a scoreless tie with a goal assisted by Ryan DeMatteo and Sean Mooney. Three minutes later, East evened the score on a power play goal by David Brown (Alex Wilson assist).
Just over four minutes into the second period, Neshaminy’s Anthony DiCrosta scored with a DeMatteo assist. That 2-1 lead stood until Wilson scored with an assist from Charlie Keiser.
Neither team scored the rest of the way.
Neshaminy’s Colin Thurnau was credited with 28 saves, and East’s Cole Breen recorded 23 saves.

The Falcons blew open a close game with five goals in the second period on their way to the win at Grundy. Shane Hicks had a four-point game (2g, 2a) to lead a balanced Falcon attack.
Hicks put the Falcons on the board with six minutes remaining in the opening period, using assists from Jacob Sarver and Francis DeLucia. Shane Gleisner found the net two minutes later with assists from Derek Nink and Jason Fowler to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead after one period.
Pennsbury reeled off four straight goals to open the second period – one each from Ryan Kalachik, Hicks, DeLucia and Kevin DeRosa. Anthony Dowd turned a Jackson Hirsch pass into a goal to put the Bucks on the board, but Kalachick answered with a goal to send the Falcons into the third period with a 7-1 advantage.
In the third period, West’s Jackson Hirsch and Zane Sanders each scored a goal sandwiched around a goal by Pennsbury’s Logan Weed.
Pennsbury’s Brendan Milliken was credited with 18 saves in a winning effort in goal. The Falcons held a 44-21 advantage in shots.

James Rush scored four goals and assisted on another to lead the Rams to the win at Hatfield Ice in a battle of the neighboring rivals.
It was Rush spotting his team an early 1-0 lead with a goal just over two minutes into the game, using a Nathan McKean assist. A power play goal by Shane Dachowski sent the Rams into the second period with a 2-0 lead.
Rush opened the second period with a goal assisted by Justin Dinsmore and Dachowski, and then it was Dachowski turning a Rush pass into a goal for a 4-0 lead. Nicholas Smith put Souderton on the board, using assists from Cameron Fairweather and Patrick Callahan, but Rush got that goal back with 16 seconds remaining in the second period to put the Rams on top 5-1.
An unassisted power play goal by Rush to open the third period gave the Rams a five-goal advantage, allowing them to withstand a Souderton run of three straight goals. Fairweather, Matthew Cross and Smith each scored a goal for the Indians to make it a 6-4 game.
Pennridge’s Ryan Burke (Nolan Shaw assist) and Landan Bishop answered with goals to give the Rams their final margin of victory.
Pennridge held a 40-38 edge in shots. Jacob Winton earned the win in goal, turning away 34 shots.

The streaking Spartans won their fourth straight game with a shutout of the Ghosts at Hatfield Ice. Grayson Quinn (2g, 2a) and Ronan Klein (3g, 1a) led a balanced Spartan attack with four-point games.
Springfield scored three goals in each of the three periods. Grayson Quinn’s goal with 6:01 remaining in the opening period stood as the game-winner. Randy Franklin had the assist. Klein (Gavin McManus/Owen Quinn assists) and Richard Belles (Grayson Quinn/John Barr assists) each added a goal to give Springfield a 3-0 advantage after one period.
The 3-0 lead stood until 6:52 remained in the second period when Thomas Manchester scored with assists from Klein and Christopher Cahill. Klein and Hunter Stock each added goal in the final 1:41 of the period for a 6-0 lead.
In the third period, Cahill, Grayson Quinn and Klein each scored a goal for the 9-0 final.
Springfield held a 60-15 advantage in shots. Liam Baskin earned the shutout win, turning away all 15 shots he faced. Matthew Evangelist was credited with 51 saves.
