PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 4, ABINGTON 1

The Colonials rebounded from their only league loss of the season to defeat the Ghosts in their regular season finale.
Daniel Guller scored two minutes into the game, using a Daniel Molony assist, only to see Katherine Wenhold knot the score with 3:50 remaining in the period. Hymiere Dickerson and Jamison Donofry had the assists on a goal that sent the two teams into the second period deadlocked 1-1.
Guller connected on his second goal five minutes into the second period, turning pass from John Zawislak into a goal that ended up standing as the game-winner. Luke Smith (Morgan Hulitt assist) added an insurance goal late in the period, and with 3:32 remaining in the third period, Ryan Campbell scored to give the Colonials their final margin of victory. Zawislak and Luke Wynne provided the assists.
PW held a decisive 48-19 advantage in shots. Julian Lucks earned the win in goal, turning away 18 of 19 shots. Matthew Evangelist kept the Ghosts in the game, turning away 44 of 48 shots.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 11, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 5
The Titans raced out to an 8-0 lead only to watch the Bucks reel off five straight goals of their own, but that’s as close as they would get. The Titans answered with three consecutive goals to close it out, earning their 15th win of the season.
Jeffrey Kvecher excelled in the role of facilitator, handing out four assists. Four South players had three-point games.
The Titans owned the first period, opening up a 5-0 lead while holding a 29-5 advantage in shots. Keith Waldron put the Titans on the board with a power play goal just over four minutes into the game, using assists from Ryan Frey and Kvecher. Logan Hood followed with a goal, and then Sean Cutter connected on back-to-back goals. Hood’s second goal of the period gave the Titans their five-goal advantage.
Waldron opened the second period with a goal assisted by Braxton Lord, and then Jamison Crouch connected on an unassisted goal. Hood completed his hat trick with assists from Dominic Gibson and Kvecher before the Bucks scored three unanswered goals to close out the period. Zane Sanders scored with assists from Jack Misoda and Colin Murray, and then it was Anthony Dowd scoring back-to-back goals, both with Zane Sanders’ assists.
Misoda scored consecutive goals to open the third period before Alexander Cannon broke the Bucks’ run with a goal, using assists from Jake Sciscio and Brennan Thierolf. Another Cannon goal (Jake Stepp assist) was followed by a goal by Gibson to close out the scoring.
The Titans held a 62-24 advantage in shots. Jake Matkowski earned the win in goal for the Titans while Isaac Mays had 51 saves in goal for the Bucks.

Thursday, Feb. 20
NORTH PENN 11, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0

The Knights capped an impressive regular season with a no-doubt-about-it mercy rule win over the Indians at Hatfield Ice. Fifteen players contributed to the scoring with Samuel Norton’s five-goal effort leading the potent attack.
Norton went to work early, collecting his hat trick in the opening period with three straight goals. Cole Pluck assisted on the first seven minutes into the contest, and the second was assisted by Danial Cabrales and Declan Willison. Pluck and Cabrales provided the assists on the third with 1:03 remaining in the period. Derek Lugara’s goal with one second remaining put the Knights on top 4-0 after one period.  
Back-to-back goals by Norton in a one-minute span early in the second period set the stage for a seven-goal period that brought an early end to the game. Contributing goals in the period were James Boyle, Lugara, Milo Little, Landon Hostetter and Alexander Walker.
Andrew Norton earned the shutout win in goal for the Knights, turning away all 18 shots he faced. The Knights held a 28-18 advantage in shots.

SOUDERTON 11, PENNSBURY 8
The Indians won a shootout against the Falcons at Hatfield Ice. They were led by the trio of Nicholas Smith (5g, 4a), Maxwell Ryon (2g, 5a) and Cameron Fairweather (4g, 2a).
In a preview of things to come, the two teams combined for seven goals in the first quarter. Smith and Fairweather scored back-to-back goals to open the game, and then it was Pennsbury’s Logan Week and Connor Gray answering with goals for the Falcons.
A Fairweather goal put the Indians on top 3-2, but Francis DeLucia and Ryan Kalachik each scored a goal to send Pennsbury into the second period with a 4-3 lead.
Souderton had the early advantage in the second period as Smith, Fairweather and Ryon scored consecutive goals to put the Indians on top 6-4. Ryon’s came on a power play.
Pennsbury’s Shane Hicks and Jacob Sarver each scored a goal sandwiched around a goal by Smith. Another goal by Smith send Souderton into the final period with an 8-6 lead.
Pennsbury’s Christopher Sarver scored to trim the Indians’ lead to one, but Fairweather, Ryon (short-handed) and Smith (short-handed) each scored a goal to put the Indians on top 11-7 before Shane Gleisner scored a goal late in the period for the 11-8 final.
Pennsbury held a 44-39 edge in shots.
Souderton’s Connor Paulus earned the win in goal, turning away 36 shots.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 7, ABINGTON 2
Darius Graziani scored two goals and assisted on three others to lead the Hatters to the win in their regular season finale. Nathan Nemchinov added three goals and an assist for a four-point night.
Nemchinov scored less than three minutes into the game, using assists from Darius Graziani and Reid Rochestie. A goal by Graziani put the Hatters on top 2-0, but Abington’s Jamison Donofry (Benjamin Biko assist) found the back of the net to make it a 2-1 game after one period.
The Hatters opened the second with back-to-back-to-back goals by Francis Stancheck, Nemchinov and Grazaiani to go on top 5-1 before Joseph Widmeier scored for the Ghosts. Nemchinov’s third goal made it a 6-2 game after two periods.
Hatboro-Horsham’s Brady Gurt (Cole Meyer assist) scored the lone goal of the third period for the 7-2 final.
Hatboro-Horsham’s Eric Miller earned the win in goal. Abington goalie Matthew Evangelist was credited with 57 saves to keep the game close in a contest that saw the Hatters hold a 64-8 advantage in shots.

SPRINGFIELD 4, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 2
The Spartans did what no team before them had done, handing the Colonials their first and only loss of the regular season. It was a win that vaulted an upstart Spartan squad into the SHSHL playoffs.
Grayson Quinn (Owen Quinn assist) scored to give Springfield an early 1-0 lead. Luke Smith turned a Daniel Molony pass into the equalizer. A Christopher Cahill goal with 3:14 remaining in the opening period put the Spartans on top 2-1, but with 27 seconds remaining in the period, Brandon Wooldridge scored with a Luke Smith assist to even the score.
Kellen Warman (Gabriel Wells/Gavin McManus assists) broke the tie with a goal with 2:42 remaining in the second period.
If Springfield needed an insurance goal, Gabriel Wells gave it to them when he scored four minutes into the third period. Ronan Klein and John Barr had the assists. The Spartans held on for the big 4-2 win.
PW held a 43-31 advantage in shots, an advantage that was negated by the 41-save effort of Springfield goalie James Sarsfield.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, PENNRIDGE 2
David Brown’s shorthanded goal with a Joseph Walter assist with 12:23 remaining in the third period broke a 2-2 tie and turned out to be the game-winner in Wednesday’s tightly contested game at Hatfield Ice.
Earlier in the contest, the Patriots took a 2-0 lead in the opening period, thanks to goals from Tyson Cowan (Colton Dreyfus assist) and Gavin Widmer (Patrick O’Brien assist).
The second period belonged to the Rams, who received goals from James Embert (Justin Dinsmore assist) and Kaden Gunning (James Rush assist) to even the score 2-2 heading into the third period and setting the stage for Brown’s game-winner.

The Titans broke a 3-3 tie with three goals in the third period to earn the tightly contested win.
Logan Hood scored the go-ahead goal with assists from Jamison Crouch and Sean Cutter. Dominic Gibson added an insurance goal to go on top 5-3, using a Cutter assist. Nicholas Smith scored to trim that lead to one, using assists from Maxwell Ryon and Cameron Fairweather. South’s Keith Waldron’s short-handed goal with a Jeffrey Kvecher assist closed out the scoring for the 6-4 final.
In the opening period, Ryon and Cutter exchanged goals, and then it was Smith scoring to give the Indians a 2-1 lead after one period.
A goal by Kvecher two minutes into the second period evened the score. Jake Stepp and Waldron assisted on the equalizer. Drew Savarese’s power play goal with assists from Ryon and Julia Kaminsky gave Souderton a 3-2 advantage, but with eight seconds remaining in the period, Cutter scored the tying goal with assists from Gibson and Stepp.
South’s Jake Matkowski was credited with 17 saves in a winning effort in goal. South held a 37-21 advantage in shots. Souderton’s Connor Paulus was credited with 31 saves.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 5, NESHAMINY 2
Jake Weiner had a hand in all five goals in Wednesday’s regular season finale, capping a superb regular season with a five-point game that included two goals and three assists.
Weiner scored the only goal of the opening period, using assists from Daniel Filippov and Jonah Weston.
In the second period, Jordan Sarne scored a pair of goals to put the Golden Hawks on top 3-0. Weiner assisted on both. Jeremy Rayher also assisted on the first of the two goals.
Rock South’s lead increased to 5-0 after goals by Rayher (Weiner/Jordan Sarne assists) and Weiner (Jagger Smith assist).
Neshaminy scored a pair of late goals for the 5-2 final – Ryan DeMatteo scored both – the first unassisted on a power play and the second also unassisted.
Rock South’s Xavier Prozorov earned the win in goal for the Hawks, turning away 27 of 29 shots.
