SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (4-15-25)

American Conference

PENNRIDGE 3, NORTH PENN 1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-23)
In a battle of conference frontrunners, Pennridge earned a 3-1 win, rebounding from an opening-set loss to sweep the next three and pick up the win. The win avenged an early season loss to the Knights – the only loss of the SOL season for the Rams.
Owen Smith dished out a whopping 40 assists for the Rams in the victory. Logan Jalosinski recorded 21 kills and 10 digs.
North Penn’s Daniel Oh handed out 39 assists, while Kyle Park had 16 kills and 10 digs.

Up next: Pennridge (7-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks West on Tuesday, and North Penn (8-2) will travel to Quakertown on Tuesday.

UPPER DUBLIN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
Upper Dublin picked up a straight set win over Central Bucks East in Tuesday’s American Conference matchup.
East was led by Kyle Knorr, who seemed to be everywhere. Knorr ended the evening with 9 kills, 6 assists, and 7 digs. Directing the attack was Eli Dalby, who accumulated 15 assists, 7 kills, an ace, and a dig. Middle Joe Lapeire had a productive match, totaling 4 kills and 6 digs, and Nick Cross chipped in 2 kills and 6 digs.
Other East contributors included Josh Ostrander with 2 kills and 5 digs, Gavin Widmer with 1 kill and 6 digs, Nathan Diodato with 3 digs, and Mason Sullivan with a nice service run and a dig.
Up next: Upper Dublin (7-3 SOL) will travel to Neshaminy for a non-league match Wednesday. Central Bucks East (1-11, 1-9) will be on the road at Wissahickon Tuesday.

WISSAHICKON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-23)
The Trojans righted the ship after two straight defeats with a match win against the rapidly improving CB West Bucks on Tuesday evening. 
Reed Harris put on a show for the Trojans, who returned to winning form after suffering two straight losses. Harris posted 20 kills, 6 digs, 6 assists, and 2 blocks.
By the numbers: Central Bucks West: Caleb Woodring (11 kills, 14 digs, 2 blocks), Nick Anton (9 kills, 15 assists, 6 digs), Karl Linde (6 digs), Hayden Morocco (2 kills, 6 blocks), Chase Kerskey (16 assists), Finn Haddon (6 digs).
Wissahickon: Reed Harris (20 kills, 6 digs, 6 assists, 2 blocks), Nate Oh (20 assists, 3 digs), Dean Bowers (4 kills, 5 blocks, 1 assist), Jack Childs (9 assists, 2 aces, 3 digs), Jonas Sabia (7 kills, 1 block, 1 dig).
Up next: Wissahickon (9-3, 7-3 SOL) will host Wissahickon on Tuesday, and Central Bucks West (3-9, 3-7) will be on the road at Pennridge on Tuesday.

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2 (25-18, 24-26, 19-25-26-24, 15-9)
The Indians - who trailed 2-1 after three sets - rallied and defeated the Titans in 5 sets for the second time this season.

erek Stefanowicz led the offense with 21 kills, 7 digs, 1 block and 1 ace.  
By the numbers: Souderton: Derek Stefanowicz (21 kills, 7 digs, 1 block, 1 ace), Sawyer Jones (15 kills, 11 digs). The Indians middle blockers Evan Hamm and Gio Iervolino were a huge factor with 8 kills and 4 blocks each.  Gabe Williams dished out 50 assists and added 6 digs. Connor Basile led the defense with 25 digs.

Central Bucks SouthGavin Roth (24 kills, 20 assists, 10 digs, 5 blocks). Senior libero Myroslav Lepuha passed well and led the team with 22 digs. Junior setter Xavier Robayo was very consistent running the offense and dealt 26 assists.
Up next: Souderton (9-2, 7-2 SOL) will host Lansdale Catholic in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 23. Central Bucks South (5-7, 3-7) will be on the road at Upper Dublin on Tuesday.

The Ghosts eked out a win in a five-set match Monday.
Leading the Owls were Veer Patel (34 assists 4 kills 1 ace), Roman Walsh(20 kills 10 digs), Shivam Patel (8 kills 4 digs), Nate Sveen ( 4 kills 2 blocks), and Anthony Kozar (4 kills 5 blocks).
Up next: Abington (6-5, 5-4 SOL) will be on the road at Cheltenham Tuesday, and Bensalem (7-7, 3-5) will host Council Rock South Monday.

Non-league
QUAKERTOWN 3, DOWNINGTOWN EAST 2 (23-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-18, 15-7)

The Panthers earned a hard-fought win over the Cougars in a grueling five-set match.
Owen Reinford led the Panthers’ attack with 24 kills while teammate Vadym Mazurak added 12. Quinn Costanzo anchored the Panthers’ defense with 26 digs. Setter Sean Gillin played the role of facilitator, dishing out 51 assists
