Springfield did a really great job on the draw circle all game and were really disciplined on their attack today. Our defense had to step it up and were able to hold them to just one goal in the second half. Ava Fell played another great game in goal and was able to make some nice saves on 8 meter shots. Ellie Stein made some changes to the defense at the end of the first quarter when I went to fill up one of her teammates' water bottle. Whatever she said to the team worked. I guess my plan for the rest of the season will be to let her adjust the defense and I will do what I can to keep the team properly hydrated.
Lila Marciniak and Emma Greenberg had a combined 7 assists. I am really happy with not only the two of them but the entire offensive unit's ability to work together this season to see if they can give a teammate the opportunity to be successful.

This was a hard fought game. Mother nature decided to finally bless us with some warm weather and the teams had a beautiful day to play. We had some great transitions and looks at the cage. Wiss's defense played a great backer D and I'm proud of how the girls worked together to find one another as it is something that we have been working on as an attacking group.
Our midfielders are some of the hardest working kids I have coached. They are all over the field and are key players on both ends of the field for us.
Wiss is always a well coached and talented team. We knew it would be a battle today. They have some great goal scorers and our defense worked as a unit to slow them down and created some nice turnovers to help us get the ball back.
