#1 PENNSBURY 3, #16 KENNETT 0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-17)
The Falcons rolled to a sweep of visiting Kennett in Tuesday’s opening round match.
Up next: Pennsbury (16-1, 13-1 SOL) will host #8 Souderton in Thursday’s quarterfinal round.
#3 PENNRIDGE 3, #15 COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-20-25-23, 25-16)
The Rams earned a sweep of the visiting Golden Hawks. Owen Smith handed out 30 assists with Bryce Ammon and Logan Jalosinski on the receiving end of many of those. The duo combined for 24 kills to lead the way at the net.

#5 NORTH PENN 3, #12 ABINGTON 1 (25-27, 25-22, 33-31, 25-19)
The Knight triumphed over the visiting Ghosts in the first round of District One playoffs in a classic battle of two SOL schools.
Both teams fought tooth and nail for each point and even stretched the third set to over 30 points. After losing the first set by a thin margin, the Knights regrouped and promptly adjusted their strategy. The two middle blockers from the Ghosts put tremendous pressure on the Knights' offense, but Daniel Oh was able to move the hitters around and ended the night with 39 assists, while also adding one kill and two aces to secure the win.
The Ghosts also put a lot of pressure on the Knights' passing and defense line, but Prithvi Patel held the ground with 20 digs to stabilize the backrow.
Shane McElroy led the team with 16 kills, two aces, and one block.
Also contributing were Jack Woodland (12 kills, 2 blocks, 4 digs), Max Reilly (10 kills, 4 blocks, 3 digs), Luca Dalla Costa (9 kills, 1 block), Connor Notte (2 kills, 3 dig), Luke Giza (1 kill, 3 digs)

#7 NESHAMINY 3, #10 WISSAHICKON 1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-14, 26-24)
The Redskins used a balanced attack to defeat the pesky Trojans in an All-SOL match in Tuesday’s opening round of the District 1 3A Tournament. The two teams split the first two sets, and Neshaminy won the next two, including a hard-fought fourth set.

Neshaminy coach Pat Klingerman: "Great team win tonight against a tough Wissahickon team. Back to practice tomorrow to prepare for a really good Pennridge team on Thursday. Dave does a great job year in and year out with that group so it will be a challenge to travel there on Thursday. Need to play our best volleyball then."

The Wissahickon Trojans fell to the well-coached Neshaminy Skins team 3-1 in the opening round of the playoffs. Coach Mitch Harris is extremely proud of the progress the team has made qualifying for the playoffs in only their third year and is looking forward to progressing beyond the first round next year.
Special shoutout to graduating senior captain Nate Oh, who tallied 24 assists, five kills and 11 digs and finished his career with 1,004 assists.
The Trojans were led by junior Jonas Sabia who had 16 kills and two blocks, junior Reed Harris had 14 kills, 5 blocks, 16 assists and 10 digs and senior Aiden Robinson, who had six Kills, one ace, four blocks and 1 assist. Senior Sebastian Gheorghe had a stellar performance serving (1 ace) in addition to nine digs. Senior Captain Colin Ramos had two kills to go along with one ace and one dig and Jack Childs had six digs.
Up next: Neshaminy (16-4, 11-3 SOL) will travel to #2 Pennridge for a second round match Thursday. Wissahickon closed out its successful season with a 13-8 record overall, 10-6 SOL.
#8 SOUDERTON 3, #9 HAVERFORD 1 (28-26, 14-25, 25-22, 25-23)
Souderton hosted the Haverford Fords for a first round PIAA District 1 playoff matchup Tuesday and won a tough match 3-1. After winning a grueling first set 28-26, Souderton dropped the next set 14-25 but bounced back and won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-23 as Haverford didn't go down quietly.
Derek Stefanowicz was a handful as he led the Indians’ offense with 26 kills and eight digs. Sawyer Jones added 19 kills and nine digs of his own. Gabe Williams dished out 54 assists and added 10 digs. Connor Basile led the Indians defense with 14 digs and had one ace.
Souderton coach Bill Cush: “A big factor in the decisive fourth set was when middle blocker Gio Iervolino took his game to the next level and recorded four kills and four blocks in the last set alone, and he fittingly had the game winning block to send the Indians to the second round of the District 1 playoffs.”
Up next: For its quarterfinal matchup, Souderton (17-4, 12-4 SOL) will travel to #1 ranked Pennsbury at 7pm on Thursday.
#3 LOWER MERION 3, #14 UPPER DUBLIN 2
The visiting Cardinals gave the third-seeded Aces all they could handle before falling in a grueling five-set match.
The season: Upper Dublin closed out its season with a 10-10 record overall (10-6 SOL).
#4 UNIONVILLE 3, #13 BENSALEM 1
The visiting Owls didn’t go down without a fight, winning a set but coming up short in Tuesday’s district opener.
The season: Bensalem closed out its season with an 11-10 overall record and a 7-7 record in the SOL.
#6 SPRING-FORD 3, #11 WILLIAM TENNENT 2
The SOL squads did not go down quietly in Tuesday’s opening round. The Panthers made the Rams earn it in a highly contested match.
Ryan Bula’s 19 kills led the attack. Setter Tristan Ziegler dished out 41 assists, and Alex Pyavka’s 17 digs led the defense.
