On Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, Central Bucks West senior Emma Heim was recognized for committing to compete in rowing at Monmouth University.

Reasons for choosing Monmouth: “I chose Monmouth because I felt like the team dynamic was great, and I know
someone who was on the team, and she was very welcoming. I just got a good vibe from the whole team.”
What was the progression that led you to rowing at the collegiate level? “I started rowing – this is going to be my second year, and I decided I wanted to row in college when I found out I loved it so much. I knew I wanted to continue it for as long as I could.”
Swan Creek Rowing head coach Tony Gambescia: “Emma is one of our top rowers in the program. She is an excellent leader, and she’s one of the most coachable kids we have. Her dedication and commitment to the team is unparalleled. She has battled through injuries and continues to come to practice and fight through all of that. We’re expecting great things from her this summer, and I wish her the best of luck at the next level.”
