On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Souderton’s Alli Engart was recognized for committing to continue her golf career at Monmouth University.
Alli Engart – Monmouth University (Golf)
Major: Biology/Pre-med
Final list of colleges: Monmouth, Randolph-Macon
Reasons for choosing Monmouth: “I chose Monmouth because of the environment, and I liked the family-like team atmosphere.”
Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite Souderton sports memory was when we set the school record as a team when we played Spring-Ford this year and also going to states my junior and senior year.”
Coach Scott Giuliano: “Alli’s been a golfer for us for the last four years. She started as a freshman and is one of the most successful, accomplished golfers we’ve had come through Souderton in the history of our program. She has made the state tournament twice – her junior and senior year, which in the state of Pennsylvania is an incredible accomplishment. She’s been up at the top of the district and Suburban One leaderboard for the last four years now. One of the best things for Alli is her experience and professionalism as far as how she carries herself on the course – the attention to detail, the focus she puts into every one of her shots, the experience she has. She came in as a freshman having done tournaments outside school, which has given her the ability to be able to make pressure putts, be successful in tense situations, but she also is able to move on from a bad shot and get through difficult things in golf, which for kids this age – that’s all it is. It’s the mental game. It will be tough to see her go, but we’re incredibly excited to see her take her on the next venture of her career.”
