On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, North Penn seniors Emily Pironti, Fiona Rowe & Abbey Murphy were recognized for committing to compete in collegiate water polo.
Abbey Murphy – Gannon University (Water Polo)
Major: Biology:
Reasons for choosing Gannon: “I chose Gannon because I had the ability to play water polo, and it’s a good school. Also, the water polo team had a good team dynamic.”
Coach Jacob Grant: “Abbey Murphy is going to Gannon University. She’s really excited for school and to play water polo. She’s going to join one of her former teammates there, so I’m excited to see that North Penn tradition carry on at Gannon University.

Reasons for choosing Long Island: “I chose LIU because of the area Long Island is. It works perfect with my major, and Coach Morgan made me feel at home when I went to visit.”
Coach Jacob Grant: “Emily is going to Long Island University. I’m super excited for her to get this opportunity to make sure she can show her skills. She’s excited to go there because she’s a nursing major, so she’s going to be real busy.”
