On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, North Penn senior Ben Grattan was recognized for committing to continue his baseball career at Muhlenberg College.

Coach Kevin Manero: “Ben is the true definition of consistency and patience. He wasn’t a stater from day one of his high school career. When several members of the class of 2025 were put on the varsity roster as sophomores, he wasn’t one of them. But Ben never stopped gunning for that opportunity.
“In his junior year we were cycling through guys in left field, and Ben was the last guy we gave an opportunity to. And he had four hits in his first four at-bats, and he never came out of the lineup after that. From that moment on, he was as solid a guy as you’d want in the outfield and at the plate.
“Above all else though, Ben is a first-class human being. Muhlenberg scored a very big catch when they got him. I really believe he can be the kid who, a few years from now, schools will say ‘How did we miss this kid?’”
