On Thursday, May 15, 2025, Central Bucks West senior Emily Havrylyshen was recognized for committing to continue her cheerleading career at Temple University.

Reasons for choosing Temple: “I would go to clinics to all the schools, but nothing felt the same way when I was around those girls – we had the same type of humor, everything we said was funny. We all bonded really quickly.”
What was the progression that led you to cheering at the collegiate level? “I didn’t start cheering until sophomore year of high school. Before that, I was a ballroom dancer, so it wasn’t really similar. I joined because my friends did it. I’ve progressed this much in three years, and I wonder what else I can do with myself.”
Coach Ally Watson: “Emily Havrylyshen was a standout cheerleader with exceptional work ethic and athleticism. She consistently pushed herself to improve throughout the three seasons she was with CB South Cheer. Her dedication to the sport was evident in everything she does, earning her the respect of the coaching staff and teammates. We are so proud of her for continuing her cheerleading career at Temple University.”
