On Wednesday, May 15, 2025, Central Bucks South senior Anthony Bice, Brennan Franklin & Patrick VanLuvanee* were recognized for committing to compete in collegiate soccer.
Anthony Bice – Moravian University (Soccer)
Major: Undecided
Final list of colleges: Moravian, Millersville, East Stroudsburg, Drew
Reasons for choosing Moravian: “It came down to – I really liked the coaches and my teammates. I just got a good feeling when I visited. It felt like home.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level? “Probably my freshman year – I just really got serious with everything and really locked down on my recruiting.”
Coach Ed Brnardic: ”At the beginning of the season, I thought Anthony Bice was ready for a big year. It was a slow start with the team learning how to play together, and we initially struggled to get him the ball, but Anthony stayed patient sensing that his time would come. That time finally arrived when we were down 1-0 at halftime vs. Downingtown West. In the second half he scored twice, assisted on the third goal, and that started an avalanche of goals (24) for the season. What is most impressive was that every one of his goals was when the score of the game was within one goal. As soon as we were up by two goals, we took him off the field to give other players a chance to play - maturity that you do not expect from a high school player. Anthony delivered for us on the field and in the locker room and was recognized by his peers as the SOL Colonial Division player of the year, and he was our MVP for the regular season.
“Anthony's patience and unselfishness will serve him well as he starts the next chapter of his life at Moravian."

Brennan Franklin – University of Rochester (Soccer)
Major: Finance
Reasons for choosing Rochester: “Rigorous academics, coaching staff, the players on the team, the campus, and playing in the UAA league.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level? “I always wanted to take my game to the highest level I could achieve, and I knew that playing a sport in college would benefit my academics because I constantly would be on a schedule. My recruiting journey started as a sophomore playing at the MLS Next Flex Tournament but was very heavy during my junior year.”
Coach Ed Brnardic: "Brennan was our most dynamic and most versatile player. This was his first year with the program because his previous MLS Next commitments didn't allow him to play high school, so we were very fortunate to have Brennan part of the team for his senior season. We expected Brennan to come in with exceptional talent since he was playing at the highest level of youth soccer, but we hit the lottery with all the intangibles that Brennan brought. He took our entire program to a new level with his effort, with his in-game IQ, and his willingness to do anything to help the team win. He was a coach on the field. The younger players looked up to him - when you see your leader and your best player in the trenches with you, it can't help but forge a great culture. The University of Rochester hit the lottery by adding Brennan to their team, but I know he will still be checking in with us - once a Titan, always a Titan."
About Brennan:
Favorite food: Any kind of wrap
Favorite TV show: Peaky Blinders

Patrick VanLuvanee – University of Delaware (Soccer)
Major: Sports Medicine
Reason for choosing Delaware: “Delaware has a great atmosphere that aligns with what I was looking for personally. Not too busy, not too isolated - it’s a perfect combination of the two. The athletic facility is absolutely amazing and played a big part of my decision making.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level?
“Recruiting started about summer of 2024. It started by me attending some ID camps and getting my name out there. From there, it was about reaching out to colleges that I was interested in and staying consistent with communication. Eventually after all my calls with coaches, I knew Delaware was the one I wanted. I always knew I wanted to play college, so I constantly had my eyes set on committing athletically.”
Coach Ed Brnardic: "Pat is a guy who embodies everything that a coach wants from a player. On the field, he is a leader and an exceptional player. He knows the game, he knows how to lift everyone's spirits, and he's so difficult to score on because he knows angles better than Pythagoras. Pat had an exceptional playoff run again this year and was named our playoff MVP as well as the winner of our most prestigious award - the Titan Award which is given to the player who represents the North Star for our program.
“Pat has left a legacy here at CB South - I loved watching him play, and the younger players love it when he comes back to work with them during summer trainings. He is always giving what he can to our program. Delaware is very, very fortunate to have Pat."
