Hatboro 7, Lansdale Catholic 4 (12-2-09)
Hatboro Horsham’s Timmy Boyle scored two goals within 11 seconds in the 2nd minute of the game, and the Hatters never looked back. Manny Billones led the Hatters' attack with 2 goals and 2 helpers and Jimmy Salfiti was strong in goal. Chris Giuliani and Brian Smith chipped in with a goal and assist each. LC was led by John Carty’s 2 goals and Nick Sette with a goal and assist. Hatboro Horsham remains in first place in the American Division.
Rock South Wins CB West Rematch
CR South defeated CB West on Wednesday night 5-3 in a hard-fought game at Face Off Circle despite a 3-goal game by West senior, Matt Wing. CR South got on the board first on a goal by senior Tyler Dietrich, assisted by Pete Malamud and Pat Grilli. But, West tied the game on an unassisted shorthanded goal by Wing to end the 1st period. West hung tough in the 2nd period on Wing's powerplay goal, assisted by seniors, Nate Routier and Andy McNally. But, South held on to a 3-2 lead on Dietrich's 2nd goal of the game and a last-second tally by Malamud (assisted by Pat Grilli). Rock took a 4-2 lead on a Malamud's second of the game, but West answered 10 seconds later on Wing's 3rd of the game on a nice feed from Routier to pull within a goal. With West's net empty for the extra attacker, Malamud sealed the win for South on an empty-netter with seconds left to play. West gave South a much tougher test than in the teams' 1st meeting earlier in the month on great play by senior goaltender, Dan Rosenblum.
