  • Lancaster Mennonite (25-19W, 26-27L) - Falcons get a nice jump in game 1 but start off slow in game two and lose it to a 27 point cap. Falcons split yet again and win the match on points.
          Saturday
  • Central York (25-19 W, 23-25 L) The Falcons missed the dominate blocking and hitting provided by their starting middle hitter Jim Zaluski as he was taking SAT's during the Falcons pool play matches. However, the Falcons still managed to split with Central and win the match on points.
  • Upper St. Clair (22-25 L, 25-20 W) During game one the Falcons level of play dropped and looked slopply at times eventually losing game 1. In game two the Falcons were jump started by starting OH Dom Tricoche winning 25-20. The Falcons split but win the match on points.
  • State College (26-27 L , 19-25 L) The Falcons were playing back to back matches against a tough opponnent and missed starting middle hitter Jim Zaluski's presence in the middele. Despite the curcumstances the Falcons were up big in game one and blew a seven point lead late in the game to drop game one. In game two State College proved to be too much and the Falcons dropped the match losing 2-0.
  • Maplewood (21-25 L - 25-18 W) The Falcons coach decides to sit 3 starters for the rest of the tournament after feeling the effects of their nagging injuries throughout the season. Starting setter Ryan Burns, starting middle Adam Flick, and all state OH Jeremy Rhoads are all shut down for the rest of the day. However, starting middle Jim Zaluski arrives before game 2 to help energize the Falcons with his dominate blocking and hitting. The Falcons split but win on points.
Playoffs

  •  Ambridge – (First Round 25-20 W one game to 25) The Falcons were entering the one game match sitting three starters (Ryan Burns, Adam Flick, and Jeremy Rhoads) however, the great play of Outside hitter Dom Tricoche and Dan Salinas carried the Falcons through the match. Both Dom and Dan hit .500 for the match. Dom finished with 5 kills and Dan with 4 kills.
  • State College (Quarter-Finals 25-17 W one game to 25) The Falcons again entered the match with the same starting line up, missing three starters and were still on a roll. However, both Jim Zaluski and Joe Yasalonis stepped up their game to help the Falcons fly to a 25-17 victory. Yasalonis had 6 kills during the game hitting .417 while Zaluski added 3 kills, hitting .600, and 4 blocks for kills. The rest of the Falcons were also stellar committing only 1 hitting error all game.
  • Fox Chapel (SEMI-FINALS 31-29 W one game 30) The drama continues for the Falcons as starting outside hitter Dom Tricoche suffers severe cramping in both of his quadriceps and can not continue any longer in the tournament. The Falcons were now forced to re-enter an injured Jeremy Rhoads back into the line up. Rhoads has been suffering from an abdominal strain and has been struggling to hit the ball with a tremendous amount of force. Fortunately, the Falcons still had the play of Yasalonis and Zaluski to help carry them through the match. Yasalonis had 7 kills, hitting .333, while Zaluski had 3 kills, hitting a perfect 1.000, and adding 2 blocks for kills. Setter Ryan Burns was able to come off the bench and serve for Zaluski and added 2 aces.
  • Central York (FINALS 28-30, 20-25 Best of 3 games to 25, 3rd game to 15) Central York ended the Falcons run winning in two games. The Falcons finished the match with 11 service errors and only 1 ace along with 14 hitting errors and only 19 kills as a team. Although disappointed with the lose in the finals, the Falcons showed the tremendous depth of their team and played through a tremendous amount of adversity. Overall, still an impressive showing by their veteran filled team!
