In a news release issued by the athletic department of Council Rock North High School, it was announced that senior offensive and defensive standout John Raymon has made a verbal commitment to continue his athletic and academic career at the University of Iowa.
Raymon and his family visited Iowa in June and met with the coaching staff at that time.
“Both John and his family feel that Iowa meets all the requirements they were looking for in both their academic and athletic interests,” the release stated. “In addition, John and his family wanted the decision to be made prior to the start of his senior year so there were no distractions.
“We at CR North wish John congratulations and success on his decision, and we are proud to have him representing the CR North family.”
