Sterling Limousine Players of the Game: (10-15-10)

Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services is proud to recognize the Players of the Game for Friday night’s SOL Game of the Week between Council Rock South and Neshaminy. CR South senior Billy Fleming was named the Offensive Player of the Game while Rock South senior Hunter Shull was named the Defensive Player of the Game.

STERLING LIMOUSINE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME

Billy Fleming – Council Rock South
The Golden Hawks’ senior quarterback – the master of the triple option - orchestrated a ground game that accumulated 275 yards. Fleming accounted for 148 of those yards and also had touchdown runs of five yards, 28 yards and two yards in a stellar outing.

Coach Vince Bedesem says: “I have probably seen Billy play baseball 15-16 times just last year, and just how smooth he is out there on the field (at shortstop) is amazing, and that transfers to what we’re asking him to do as far as our option is concerned with his ball fakes and his knowledge – when to give the ball and when not to give the ball and things of that nature.

“The comments I heard throughout the whole weekend from opposing coaches and other coaches around the league as well as community members and my coaches again reinforced it – Billy’s leadership has really stepped up tenfold throughout the course of the year. It’s almost like a pyramid thing where you see it from week to week to week, and it just keeps building with the leadership and drive he’s portraying on the field. The confidence he’s giving all the other guys around him is just great to see.”

STERLING LIMOUSINE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME

Hunter Shull – Council Rock South
Shull had a pair of huge sacks late in the game to seal the Redskins’ fate, including one on the final play of the game. The senior linebacker is the heart and soul of a Rock South defense that allowed the Redskins to rush for only 84 yards.

Coach Vince Bedesem says: “Hunter is just the consummate leader as far as when you look at the definition of linebacker, and he portrays that excitement for the game. He really and truly loves football. That was one of our themes for the week. We reiterated as a staff to the kids, ‘You really have to be out here for the love of the game and enjoy coming here and enjoy all the ins and outs of what this game brings.’ He epitomizes that.

“You look at him, and a lot of people when they meet him will say, ‘Wow, he’s not as big as we thought he would be.’ The one thing you can’t measure about him is his heart and determination and his love for the game.”
