National Conference
Council Rock North 54, William Tennent 18
The Dutrow brothers led the Indians. In a matchup of state qualifiers at 119, John Dutrow pinned William Tennent’s Kevin Flack in the second period. Flack got the first takedown, but Dutrow reversed and put him on his back for a 5-2 lead after one. In the second period, Dutrow went down and reversed into a half nelson, which he converted to a cradle for the pin.
“That was definitely the match of the night,” said North coach Tom Vivacqua.
At 140 Anthony Dutrow pinned Tennent’s Jon Wolfe, also in the second period, following a scramble.
The Indians are off until Tuesday when they face archrival C.R. South for the league championship.
Pennsbury 42, Bensalem 23
In a matchup of top-notch freshmen 103-pounders, Bensalem’s Tommy Stokes got an overtime takedown to defeat the Falcon’s Jason Bing.
