VARSITY BOYS: PW Senior Martin Weiss Makes Varsity Debut on Senior Day with Added Incentives in PW's 3-1 Victory over Host Cardinals
WILLOW GROVE (PA)- Plymouth Whitemarsh Bowling Boys Colonials celebrated their 2010-2011 regular season conclusion with senior day at Thunderbird Willow Grove against host Upper Dublin on Wednesday February 9,2011. Surprisingly, the Upper Dublin Cardinals won their second regular season game by 25 pins in the second game; however, Plymouth Whitemarsh took care of host Upper Dublin, 3-1. Dave Duncan had PW's highest game of 222 in the first set, while PW junior Andrew Rexroth added 187 in the second.
Entering the second game, PW coach Jeff Blizzard promoted PW senior Martin Weiss to make his varsity debut. Weiss helped his Colonial teammates with 141 in game 2, and had two crazy strikes to go along with 160 pins in PW's winning third game. Although he was cut from the PW bowling squad in his freshman 2007-2008 year, Weiss earned a spot on the JV 2 squad in 2008-2009, which included one game on Junior Varsity. In 2009-2010, Weiss was known as the leadoff bowler for PW's JV 2, where he stayed for the entire season. During his three years on the PW bowling team, Weiss has consistently improved each year, and he even recorded a 202 in December 2010 on JV against Hatboro-Horsham.
After the 2/9/2011 match at Upper Dublin, PW celebrated senior night with a pasta party at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. Coach Blizzard recognized every senior boy and girl, and announced the seven boys and girls who will bowl at the Suburban One Championships at Brunswick Zone on 2/16/2011. The seven PW boys: Kyle Hatfield, Alex Lesse, Dave Duncan, Pat Galleo, Andrew Rexroth, Julius Selfinger, and Martin Weiss.
VARSITY GIRLS: Lady Colonials Give a Match to host Lady Cardinals
WILLOW GROVE (PA)- Upper Dublin took 3 games to PW's1. PW' senior Lauren Enslin had a high of 167 and a low of 112, while UD"s Blair Broad had a high of 157 The Cardinals won game 1 by around 51, which marked their first game win against a school other than Hatboro-Horsham in 2011-2011. However, the Lady Colonials got back on track in game 2 as PW Senior Deanna From made her seacond varsity start and compiled 135; Form would add 88 in the third set in another PW game 3 setback.

Hack, a Sophomore, has not gained varsity experience, buther recent consistency of scoring 150, including 174 on JV2 against Upper Dublin, has heavily increaased her average.
