On Thursday night, Ron Hassler officially announced his resignation as the North Penn boys' varsity basketball coach after three years at the helm.
Hassler led the Knights to their most successful season in recent memory this winter. The Knights captured a share of the Suburban One Continental Conference title, compiling an 11-3 record in SOL play. They advanced to the District One AAA Tournament where they lost to Bensalem in the second round but came back to win a pair of games before falling in the ninth place game.
The Knights improved in each of Hassler’s three years as head coach, closing out the 2010-11 campaign with a 21-6 record overall.
