Senior Macie Hauck scored seven goals and contributed an assist, and Brenda McDermott added four goals and two assists to lead the Maidens to the non-league win. Garrie Grenfell contributed two goals and Maddy Humphrey had one goal for the Maidens, who led 9-7 at halftime.
“It was a hard-fought game in the mud and rain,” said coach Jami Wilus, who was without Rachel Shaw. “Many players stepped up in Rachel’s absence.”
The Maidens held a 21-19 advantage in shots.
Maiden goalie Jenna Stover turned away seven shots.
Upper Merion 18, Chichester 1
The Vikings improved to 5-2 overall with their rout of visiting Chichester. Ten players contributed goals for the Vikings, who were led by the four-goal, one-assist effort of Mel Ryan. Jackie Schauble and Dominique Gambone both contributed three goals and one assist, and Amanda McAteer added two goals and three assists.
Casey Griffith had a hand in four goals with one goal and three assists, and Brooke Dubin had one goal and two assists. Both Haley Fitzgerald and Natalie McGrath added one goal and one assist, and Liz Botto and Birttany Sautner chipped in with one goal.
