Central Bucks West 21, Neshaminy 13
The Bucks received goals from eight different players while the Redskins saw seven players connect in Saturday’s high-scoring non-league contest.
“We dominated for the most part, but Neshaminy fought back and capitalized on several turnovers and draw controls,” West coach Tara Schmucker said. “In the end, the transition passes and goals for West won the game.
“Tara Shugars had a great game with two draw controls, five groundballs, two goals and one assist. Sarah Gebre had a good game as well with one draw, four groundballs and two goals. Lastly, Jane Savard made a big impact with three draw controls, four groundballs, one goal and three assists.
In addition, Steph Cooper, Jess Circuit and Elena Romesberg each scored four goals to lead the Bucks. Romesberg also had three assists while Circuit had two. Erika Schweibenz contributed the hat trick to go along with one assist while Megan Kinley scored one goal. Erica Gilgore and Christy Grezesak both contributed an assist.
For the Redskins, Brittany Sheenan scored four goals, and Kimber Kisselback, Cassidy Dilenno, Alicia Sabatini and Nicole Bellus each scored a pair. Caitlin Carrezola added a single goal to close out the scoring.
West goalie Maddie Mulligan was credited with six saves.
Council Rock North 18, Emmaus 4
Hannah Plappert made her return to the lineup a memorable one.
The Rock North junior scored seven goals and assisted on four others in her first game action of the season after suffering a concussion at the National Indoor Field Hockey Tournament just before the start of the lacrosse season.
Becky Ely added four goals while Kara Magley had three goals and two assists and Lindsay Rheiner, two goals and three assists. Jackie Strange contributed one goal and one assist, and Bridget Doyle had an assist.
In goal, Taylor Beck was credited with five saves.
