Finally.

The game that was postponed twice due to weather issues last week was finally played Monday night and saw the North All-Stars outscore the South All-Stars 49-28 in the 36th Annual Bucks County Lions Football Classic. The game was played on a marvelous night for football at War Memorial Field in Doylestown – home of the Central Bucks West Bucks and Central Bucks East Patriots.

Council Rock North senior John Raymon played his last scholastic football game. Division One football power Iowa is the next stop for the talented Raymon, who leaves for Iowa on Saturday.

“Playing in this football game has been a great experience,” said Raymon. “It was great to play against the kids I played against the last few years. Now I am getting ready to move on to that next level, and I am very excited about meeting my new teammates this summer.”

Neshaminy senior Dwight Williams played his last scholastic football game. Division Two West Chester University is the next stop for Williams who was selected MVP for the South squad.

“I was disappointed in losing the game, but it was still a lot of fun,” said Williams. “My goal right now is to get myself ready to come in and play at West Chester and get on the field as soon as I can.”

Central Bucks West senior Ward Udinski played his last scholastic football game. Division Three Juniata is the next stop for Udinski who was selected the MVP of the North squad.

“Playing in a game like this is like walking through a door from high school to college,” said Udinski. “In this game, there were bigger, stronger, and faster players than on any one high school team. We wanted to win this game and go out on top.”

Quakertown senior Nick Perrine played his last scholastic game. For Perrine – who will attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania next year, Monday’s game was his very last football game.

“This is it for me,” smiled Perrine who caught two touchdown passes. “It is kind of crazy playing with kids that you hated during the season. This is the best way ever that I could go out.”

The D-1 players, the D-2 players, the D-3 players, and those playing in their final game all were equals on this night.

Finally.
