Strengths: “We have a strong group of senior players who have all displayed good leadership from day one. Having the older players set the tone in training and games is important for a young team. We're strong in goal, and that will provide a solid platform for us to build upon going forward.”
Question marks: “The biggest question mark for us this year is simply lack of experience. Only a few of our returning players saw significant time in every game last year, so a lot of players will be expected to step up into starting positions. We're also on the young side, with several freshmen and sophomores expected to contribute.”
Outlook: “It's always hard to predict how a team will react to a new coach, but I'm pleased with the way things have been going in the preseason. Obviously last year's team set the bar very high with their trip to states, and we'd love to emulate them, but our main focus is on playing well in the league and making it to districts.”
