WISSAHICKON BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Head Coach: Kyle Wilson 12th year
(Assistants Mike Scheier & Todd Brodie)
· Last Year’s Record: 17-5 regular season ~ 18-7 overall ~ 10-4 league
· Key Losses:
Jack O’Neil ~ 6’5” Guard (Florida Southern)
Tom Sweeney ~ 6’8” Forward (Ithica University)
Mike Bundy ~ 5’11” Guard (Alvernia University)
Gio Atkins ~ 6’3” Point Guard (Preping at Rise Academy)
· Key Returnees:
(Sr.)Mike Scheier ~ 5’11” Guard
(Sr.) Jabari Kibler ~ 6’3” Forward
(Sr.) Jordan Freed ~ 6’2” Guard
(Jr.) Jordan Reed ~ 6’4” Guard
(Jr.) Kyle Garrett ~ 6’3” Forward
(Jr.) Tanoh Kpassagnon ~ 6’8” Forward
(Soph.) Anthony McKie ~ 5’9” Guard
· Others to Watch:
(Sr.) Terrell Brown ~ 6’0” Guard
(Sr.) Kahlil Flowers ~ 5’10” Guard
(Sr.) Kevin Garrett Jr. ~ 6’0” Guard
· Strengths:
After losing a talented foursome of seniors starters and four solid seniors that filled out the supporting cast, we are optimistic about our retooling process. We have a new group of starters that will surround our only returning starter Jordan Reed. (Reed has received interest from several Division I colleges.) While this group may lack on the floor experience at the varsity level, they have logged many basketball miles over the past few summers, and they are energetic and ready to play. We have shooters, quickness, athleticism, and height – a good combination for success.
· Outlook:
PW is still the favorite in this league, but behind them it is wide open for anyone to slide into the top contender’s spot, and we hope to be that team.
