Plymouth Whitemarsh Swimming - Boys Preview (2010-2011)

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH BOYS’ SWIMMING PREVIEW

Coach: Taren Igou (3rd season)
Last year’s record: 6-1 SOL, 7-4 overall
Notable losses: Alec Kissell (distance free), Joey Frederick (distance free & back)
Key returners: Alex Chialastri (Sr., back, fly, free), Kyle Lukens (Jr., fly, back, free), Jake Thornton (Sr., breast), Pat Kennedy (Sr., sprint free)
Others to watch: Ben Fiddler (Soph., distance free), Tyler Sauder (Jr., breast)
Strengths: Spring, free, fly, backstroke
Question marks: Distance free is the big question mark going into the season. The Colonials lost two of their top three distance swimmers (one district qualifier) to graduation
Outlook: With the return of two state qualifiers from last year (Alex Chialastri and Kyle Lukens), it’s hard not to have a positive outlook on the season. Hopefully, the underclassmen will step up and impress.”
