Neshaminy Volleyball - Boys Preview (2010-2011)

NESHAMINY BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW

Coach: Kevin Roode (2nd year)
Assistant coaches: George Litynskij
Last year’s record: 8-6 overall, 7-5 SOL National. We finished 3rd in the Avon Grove Tournament and we lost to Pennsbury in the second round of the district one playoffs.
Notable losses: Brent Jamison, Vlad Flys, Drew Keeling, Kyle O’Donnell
Key returners: Anthony Kirk senior OH/L, Ryan Roedel senior OH, Munir Bouzid senior setter, Dave Baron senior MH, Scott Morantz senior DS
Others to watch: Kevin Thomas junior MH, Terry McDonald junior OH, Kody Naylor junior OH/MH
Outlook: “We hope to have a winning record and a deep playoff run this year. Defense and blocking are going to be essential for us as we are not going to overwhelm anyone on offense. We have a lot of great players on our team, but Anthony Kirk and Munir Bouzid are the two that really keep things going. They have great attitudes and a lot of intensity."
Fun fact: Freshman Ryan Jamison is the younger brother of 1st team all-league setter Brent Jamison
