COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH BOYS’ SOCCER PREVIEW

Coach: Alan Nicholl, 10^th season (since South inaugural season)

Assistant coaches: Bob Francis; Jon Holleran

Last year’s record: 14-3-1 SOL National 1^st place

Notable losses: Lance Dotzman (Muhlenburg). Troy Czapor (Widener). Mike Spadaro (Johns Hopkins – Track).

Key returners: Mike Discavage 12(Def). Chase Coleman 12 (Def). Chris Spadaro 11 (MF). Dan Lemashov 12 (GK) and Tyler Caffey 11(GK).

Others to watch: Nick Pascarella 12 (F), Tom Pascarella 10(MF). Dalton Ford 11 (MF)

Strength: GK, Defense

Question marks: depth, experience (lost 12 seniors to graduation)

Outlook: “First team all-league senior Mike Discavage returns to defend our 2010 league title. Both goalies (Lemashov and Caffey), who combined for a CR South record 0.83 GAA last year, are returning. Sophomore Tom Pascarella, who led the team in assists last year, returns to the midfield and will be playing alongside his brother, senior Nick, who had ACL injury last year and did not play.”
