Andrew ‘Thirtysomething’ Carber led a UD attack against Upper Merion. The Vikings have beaten the Cards at least once during the last three years, so this sweep we very satisfying for the Cardinals. The birdie barrage was led by Carber with two, followed by Easton, Duke and O’Brien with singles.
UD Highlights: Carber with two double bogeys and still shooting a 37! Tom ‘Lipout’ O’Brien shooting a41 but with any luck would have been lower. Jake ‘The Snake’ Kieserman hitting the pin while extricating himself from a tough bunker. Sarah ‘Lowside Putt’ Easton was staring at an amazing 37 except for an unfortunate five putt. Jon ‘Otis’ Bebey shot 39 without a birdie! Harry ‘It’s Never Too Late’ Sykes started poorly but finished like a champion. Liam ‘Spin’ Duke continues to back the ball to the hole – great recovery shot over the lake. Matt ‘Crush’ Brunetto again was strong off the tee.
