CENTRAL BUCKS WEST BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY PREVIEW

Coach: Greg Wetzel, 3^rd year as head coach, 6^th year with CBW boys

Assistant coaches: Tom Conboy, John Mahoney, Paul Wilson

Last year’s record: 2-5, sixthplace at the SOL Continental Championships, 23^rd overall in District One AAA/AAAA race

Notable losses: Matt Bee (Shippensburg), Matt McGarvey (St. Joseph’s University), Connor Manley (Penn State), Mike May (Shippensburg)

Key returners: Alex Predhome, Sr., Ben Smith, Sr., Rob Mitchell, Sr., Nico Metzler, Sr., Chris Berry, Jr.

Others to watch: Ben Aunins (Soph), Will Bone (Jr.), Sean Bristow (Fr.), Baylor Griffin (Fr.)

Outlook: “We have a great group of young athletes who are pushing our veterans, which should translate to a successful cross season. The SOL Continental had five teams in top 14 in District One last year, so we look forward to some challenging dual meets. Alex Predhome is pretty excited about the idea of running at Hershey, and we are hopeful that he will have company. Right now, we have some work to do, but we should be ready when it's time.”
