WILLIAM TENNENT 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0 (31-29, 25-23, 25-16)

The Panthers rode the momentum of their win in a marathon first game to earn the sweep of the Indians. Michele Felix, Maria Jose Alanis, Jill Devery and Emily O’Donnell combined for 22 kills. Sophomore libero CC Weir led the defense and contributed three aces while her sophomore counterpart Chelsea Gallagher had three kills and nine digs.
“I think we were still a little banged up and emotionally spent from Saturday,” coach Brian Bassler said of his team’s second place finish at the Quakertown Tournament. “But we found a way to pull out some tight games and dig out of some holes early on against a very tough opponent.
“We have been finding some ways to win these matches, and I give this group a lot of credit. It really is all a mental thing with this team, and I can see them growing and gaining confidence, and hopefully, we can survive this stretch and get the girls some rest.”
Bassler lauded the effort of Weir.
“She was amazing defensively,” he said.

PENNSBURY 3, BENSALEM 0 (25-12, 25-6, 25-14)
Olivia Aizen had a monster serving day, delivering 11 aces to lead the Falcons. Teammate Kelsey Ongradi added nine aces and 13 assists. Jae Jackson led the Falcons at the net with five kills and one block while Sarah Sweetland had two kills.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-13)
The Bucks received a big night at the net from Rachel Baker, who had 12 kills while teammates Alicia West and Maddie Klun had six and five kills respectively. Jess West was credited with 17 assists. Courtney King led the Bucks at the service line with six aces while Alicia West had three. Taylor Hodge had five digs to lead West’s defense.

For the Indians, Bekah Ford led the way at the net with five kills while Grace Pinto and Alexa Kulka each added three. Hayley Sparks had eight assists and teammate Cori Watson had four. Megan Miller led the defense with nine digs, and Kluka had four. Kluka also had a block and an ace. Pinto had a pair of aces.

NORTH PENN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST (25-21, 25-13, 25-23)
The Maidens remained perfect in SOL play with their sweep of the Patriots. Junior Stephanie Elechko contributed three aces, five kills and four blocks. Senior setter Kendra Allen had 15 assists to go along with four aces, seven kills and six digs. Julianna Collins had two aces and seven digs. Isabelle Kerr also had seven digs as well as six aces and six kills. Courtney Gill had a team-high eight kills and one ace.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, ABINGTON 0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-23)
Monica McLenigan led the Colonials’ defense with nine digs while teammate Anna Waltz added eight digs to go along with six kills. Ryan Haney had seven digs, and Giovanna Jenkins had six digs as well as seven kills. Tori Biggins contributed eight assists and three aces while Michele Taunton had three kills and one block. Emily Houck had two assists, one kill and one block. Riley Hellings contributed 13 assists and one ace while Liz Keefer (one block, one ace, three kills) and Cara Sweeney (four blocks, one kill) also contributed to the win.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, HARRY S. TRUMAN 0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-20)
Khristajiah Jackson led the Tigers with five blocks and eight kills while teammate Jackie Fidler had one block, four kills and three aces. For the Golden Hawks, junior Danielle Kazokas had 15 kills and three aces, and senior Taylor Hunt had two aces and seven kills.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, WISSAHICKON 1
Coach Michelle Copelli lauded her team’s performance in the loss, noting, “Even though the girls lost the match, they played excellent defense.”

NESHAMINY 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 1
Amy Paulits led the Redskins both defensively and at the net, contributing 15 digs and 14 kills. M.E. Easton had 10 digs and six kills while Julia Staub had 23 assists. Kirsten Borsos had six aces to go along with seven digs.
