The 2nd Round match in the PIAA District 1 AAA Team Championship featured a rematch between Suburban One League National Conference Champs CR North and #2 Seed, Suburban One League American Conference Champ Wissahickon. The Trojans won the first time, 5-2 with the 2 losses coming from their top two singles. Today the Trojans swept CR North with big wins from their top two Singles. #1 Maureen Devlin (W) def #1 Chrissy Gaul (CRN) in straight sets 6-0 6-0 and #2 Anne Marie Devlin def #2 Hannah Capponi (CRN) the SOL National Conference Singles Champion in three sets. Devlin dropped the first set 0-6 then rallied to win the match by taking the next two sets 6-4 6-1. The Team match was sealed with a straight set win by #3 Danielle Mustin (W) over #3 Megan Sutton (CRN) 6-4 6-3.

In Doubles The Trojan tandems won in straight sets, after going three sets in the August match. The Wissahickon 2nd Doubles of Nora Landells and Christie Cesarini won the second point of the match, winning 6-1 6-0. The #2 Seed Trojans will face #3 Seed Unionville HS on Thursday 10/13/11 at Wissahickon in the Semi-Finals.
