National Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Alex Agasar – Senior at Council Rock South High School
A three-year varsity starter, Agasar is a captain of this year’s squad. As a sophomore, Agasar played sweeper and was one of the team’s most consistent defensive players, earning the team’s rookie of the year honors. As a junior, Agasar played midfield and forward, leading the team with five goals and six assists. She was named team MVP and earned SOL first team all-league honors. This year, Agasar – a key player on the team’s offensive and defensive corners - anchors the Golden Hawks at center midfield and center back. She has five goals and eight assists.
Note from the coach:
“Alex is a great leader and role model to all players,” coach Lisa Belz said. “Her strong work ethic and willingness to persevere are just two qualities that make her an outstanding player. Alex’s positive attitude and her never-give-up mentality should be admired by all.”
About Alex:
Best memory playing field hockey: Being part of the first field hockey team in CR South’s history to beat CR North in a full game.
Part of game I enjoy most: It sounds crazy, but everything. I actually couldn’t imagine not playing anymore.

Continental Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Sarah Yerk – Senior at Pennridge High School
A senior captain, Yerk was a four-year varsity player for the Rams and earned third team all-league honors as a junior. The senior forward/midfielder was the corner striker for the Rams. Yerk plays club hockey for True North.
Note from the coach:
“In terms of skill and presence on the field, Sarah is a major asset,” coach Nikki Thren said. “She’s somebody who when she’s on – the rest of the team will rise to that level. Sometimes she has almost too much heart. She goes above and beyond in terms of playing outside of school, and those weekends when you’re worried kids won’t pick up a stick, she probably has a stick in her hand for the majority of the weekend. I think it’s her true love, and it shows on the field. She has come a long way in terms of being a main contributor and distributing the ball.”
About Sarah:
Best memory playing field hockey: When I scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Quakertown this year, and also being part of the varsity starting team as a freshman.
Part of game I enjoy most: The thrill of a team win and the creativity I can express while playing on the field
My role model is: My dad
Music that gets me pumped before games: Nicki and Meek
Favorite food: Italian food
Favorite TV show: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Chocolate or vanilla: Chocolate

Ally Frymoyer – Senior at Upper Merion High School
Frymoyer, who plays goalie for the lacrosse team, opted to give up volleyball in favor of field hockey as a sophomore. By the time she was a junior, she earned all-league honors, and she has been a steadying force on defense for the Vikings. In their 2-0 loss to conference champion Wissahickon this season, Frymoyer turned away 19 shots.
Note from the coach:
“Ally is one of the most determined players on the team,” coach Angie Yanocha said. “She always give you 100 percent and never gives up without a fight. Her improvement in her short three years playing the game is remarkable. She is a huge asset to the team, keeping us in games by making key save after save.”
