Hayley Geller – Senior at Bensalem High School
A four-year player, Geller played center forward for the Owls this season after playing midfield for most of her high school career. She also was named a co-captain of the team.
Note from the coach:
“Hayley is dedicated, committed and passionate about hockey,” coach Amanda Tu said. “As a co-captain this year, she used her leadership role and helped the girls on the team understand the commitment behind playing at the varsity level. She’s a huge asset to the team, and the girls really look up to her.”

Sarah Holloway – Senior at Central Bucks West High School
A two-year varsity player, Holloway helped anchor the Bucks’ defense at left back. The senior captain, who was introduced to field hockey through the Doylestown Athletic Association, has been playing field hockey since she was in second grade.
Note from the coach:
“Sarah is not only a solid defender to the common fan, but the behind-the-scenes keystone of our hockey team,” co-coach Kit Sinnamon said. “I have had the privilege of coaching her for three years as we both moved through the ranks from jayvee to varsity. Her devotion to hockey and to her team has earned her the respect of each and every player as well as the coaching staff. It came as no surprise when her teammates voted her as a co-captain, and she has exceeded her role. She goes above and beyond to keep the team united, both on and off the field.”
About Sarah:
Best memory playing field hockey: Back in middle school, we were playing a sister school when time had expired on a corner, and the game was tied. I inserted the ball to my friend Christy, she passed back to me, and I scored the winning goal of the game. The whole team ran onto the field and piled on top of me. We were so excited.
Part of the game I enjoy most: I love when I am able to make a strong clear out of the circle up to a midfielder or forward. When I feel like I helped my team in any way, it really makes me love the game.
My role models are: My parents. They are both great role models and have taught me the importance of perseverance and also have made good decisions to get themselves to where they are now.
Music that gets me pumped before games: I am a huge Taylor Swift fan, so sometimes some of her fast paced songs, but usually to pump me up, I’ll listen to Usher
Favorite food: Chocolate covered pretzels
Favorite TV show: Friends
Chocolate or vanilla: Chocolate

Emily Hitchings – Senior at Upper Dublin High School
A four-year varsity player, Hitchings has been a fixture on the forward line for the Flying Cardinals, playing left forward as a freshman and sophomore and moving to center forward for her junior and seniors years. She also saw action at center midfield this year. Hitchings is a striker on offensive corners and a trail on defensive corners and also takes the team’s penalty strokes.
Note from the coach:
“Emily has truly evolved into a well-rounded standout player,” coach Heather Boyer said. “She understands all of the strategies of the game, so I am comfortable putting her in any position knowing that she will do an outstanding job, but her talent truly lies inside the circle. She has a nose for the goal and is very creative with her shots. Emily is a very hard worker and sets an extraordinary example for the other players on our team to follow. She has shown a true commitment and love for the game, and her dedication has certainly paid off – she has committed to Bucknell University for field hockey. Emily has been such an integral part of the team’s success this year and is an absolute pleasure to coach.”
About Emily:
Best memory playing field hockey: Playing with my sister when she was a senior and I was a freshman – in particular, the game where I scored off of her assist.

My role model is: My sister, Laura
