National Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Carly Everett –
Senior at Council Rock North High School
A three-year varsity player, Everett was a captain of this year’s National Conference championship squad and helped anchor the Indians from her spot in the midfield. She was one of only two players to earn a spot on the junior varsity as a freshman.
Note from the coach:
“Carly is a leader on the field,” coach Heather Whalin said. “She doesn’t always get the recognition she deserves. She is a tough player with good stick skills and a great attitude. Carly is always getting the team pumped up for a game and gives 100 percent. She is tenacious on the field and one of our most consistent players. Carly’s intensity, leadership and play will be hard to replace next year.”
About Carly:
Best memory playing field hockey:
Beating Owen J. Roberts my junior year and making it to the quarterfinals in states.
Part of the game I enjoy most:  The bond I made with my teammates and coaches. We really are all best friends, and it made the past four years something I will never forget.
My role model is:  My sister Devin. She introduced me to field hockey and has been my biggest supporter all these years.
Favorite food:  Mashed Potatoes
Favorite TV show:  Vampire Diaries
Chocolate or vanilla:  Chocolate

Continental Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Taylor Yoder –
Senior at Souderton Area High School
A four-year varsity letter winner, Yoder has started every game since she walked on the field as a freshman. The senior captain anchored the Indians’ defense at center back this year after playing midfield the last two years. She plays for the Souderton Strikers club team and has made a verbal commitment to accept a field hockey scholarship from La Salle University.
Note from the coach:
“Taylor has shown a toughness in her approach to the game,” coach Mary Ann Harris said. “She’s not satisfied with just a partial commitment – she’s been committed to the game since she started playing for us. She’s the player I hoped would be my center midfielder, but because we needed her in the back, she had to sacrifice the offensive part of her game. She possesses the kind of aggressiveness we needed at the top of the circle, and by putting her back, we really did not have that this season. She can shoot well, she can push the ball hard, she can get the ball on goal, and she can pass to people who need the ball. She really wants to better herself – she wants to improve, and she loves the game. I think she will get even better at the collegiate level.”
About Taylor:
Best memory playing field hockey:
Scoring my first and winning goal in overtime my sophomore year against Hatboro-Horsham and also winning in overtime against North Penn my junior year on Senior Night.
Part of the game I love the most:  Playing with a team and learning new and different skills all the time and improving on them.
My role models are:  Both my parents because they are honestly great and support me in anything I do and also my coach Mrs. Harris. She’s an amazing coach that has so many amazing accomplishments, and she is such a great person too. I definitely look up to her for a lot of her accomplishments and talents.
Music that gets me pumped before games:  Any kind of fast beat music, like pop and what’s on the radio.
Favorite food:  Strawberries
Favorite TV show:  One Tree Hill
Chocolate or vanilla:  Vanilla

American Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Jackie Hibbs –
Junior at Wissahickon High School
A two year starter, the Trojans’ junior midfielder has been a key player on both ends of the field for the American Conference champion Trojans, especially in setting up the team’s attack.
Note from the coach:
“Jackie is a hustler,” coach Lauren Luft said. “If the ball is anywhere in her vicinity, she will do anything and everything in her power to gain or keep possession of the ball. She is a great distributor and has excellent vision of the field. The game of hockey comes very naturally to her, and she knows where to put the ball for her teammates. Jackie definitely puts a lot of positive spunk into our team.”
About Jackie:
Best memory playing field hockey:
Last year when we won districts!
Part of game I enjoy most:  When the score of the game is close and it is a really tough team and it’s a great, fair game.
My role model is:  Katie O’Donnell. She is my role model because she is one of the best field hockey players, and she also went to Wissahickon!
Favorite food:  Pickles
Favorite TV show:  Keeping up with the Kardashians
Chocolate or vanilla: Vanilla
