Outlook: The 2011-12 season comes with great excitement. CR North loses two starters in Charlie Anastasi and John Raymon. Anastasi (10.6 ppg/ 8 rpg) finished his career sixth all time in rebounding (477) and one of the best leaders this program has seen in its 56-year history. John Raymon (7.6 ppg/8.1 rpg) ended his career as the school’s seventh all-time leading rebounder (440) and provided a great physical presence inside. The team also loses seniors Hunter Stevens (2 ppg/ 2.7 rbg), Jordan Chernin (1.9 ppg/ 2 rpg), and Kevin Bogucki (1.4 ppg). However, the Indians do return three starters: Aaron Morgan (14.6 ppg/ 3 assts), Arron Goodman (14.7 ppg/7 rbg), and Matt McCloskey (4.7 ppg/1.5 assts), who will be returning from injury.
The 2011-12 schedule is once again imposing. Highlights include CR North participating in showcase events like The Philly 6 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic (Boys Latin) and The Jameer Nelson Classic (LaSalle) in December, as well as the SOL Challenge (Norristown) and Hoop Group Lehigh Valley Classic (Allentown Central Catholic) in January. The Indians will again host the Athletes Helping Athletes Classic at CR North (12/29, 30) and look to claim a third consecutive championship in the highly respected Suburban One League National Conference.
