The Lady Trojans improved their record to 4-0 in conference and 7-1 overall on the season, with a 92 - 76 win against Upper Merion. Taking 1st in 9 of 11 events and 2nd in 3rd in all events secured the win. The girls continue to show improvement overall, with times dropping across the board and the swimmers remain focused on their goals.
If the Trojan men had a mission going in to this meet, they certainly proved that if they set their minds on a goal that they can surely achieve it. With a 99-70 win the boys team is now 4-0 in conference and 4-4 on the season. Chris Chiodo-Ortiz not only picked up his 6th District cut, but he also broke a 17 year old pool record, held by Wiss Alum Brandon Lutz,, in the 100 Free now putting a 48.28 in the record books. Greg Beyer got his third district cut in Backstroke and the Medley Relay team of Greg Beyer, Adam Smith, Chris Chiodo-Ortiz and John Jefferson got a long overdue district cut as well. The entire boys team continues improve as well.
Overall both these teams are having very successful seasons and with 4 regular season meets to go before the Suburban One championship meets on Feb 17th and 18th, it is clear that there are many more goals to be met.
